Location and staff. Good breakfast

Dirty on common areas. Looks like lacking attention on the floors. Bathroom are very uncomfortable

Right on the beach very modern and clean. The staff is amazing!!

Location

It was off season and empty. But instead of giving me a great room with a view as described. I got a corner room pinched into a wedge with no view. Worst part of it was every nice room with a view was empty.

The view is amazing and everything you need is at your fingertips

A little overpriced but Costa Rica in general was very expensive

The hotel is excellent, the breakfast is excellent, and there are many pools and a beautiful beach.

Our room was on the other side of the hotel, away from the lobby and main pool and this was not made clear when booking. The price of the hotel is very high.

Loved that it was close to the beach! We stayed in a room that was across the street, but it was such a quick walk across and to the beach. The pool was a nice size, easy to find lounge chairs. Fun to listen to the howler monkeys which were hanging out in the treetops on the property. Breakfast buffet was very good! It included made to order omelets, homemade tortillas, fresh fruit, yogurts, pastries, etc. Was pleased they were able to bring a rollaway bed so our kids could each have their own bed. Fun towel creations left by housekeeping.

Cleanliness of the room- found hairs that weren’t ours several times on sheets. Water wasn’t filtered at the resort so opted to use bottled water to be safe.

Our 2nd visit and will not be our last. Always enjoy a nite at the DIRIA for last 5 years.

Location and the beach

The hall that connects the lobby to the elevator … looks like the back of the kitchen

They clean the room well and the employees were very nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet is awesome with a lot of choices. There are a lot of restaurants around and the hotel is located in town.

No microwave in rooms.

Overall had a pleasant experience, especially because we chose an adults-only room. This gave us a sense of privacy and tranquility, which we really appreciated. The location is also excellent, the area is full of restaurants and everything is easily accessible, whether you’re looking to explore the beach, grab a bite to eat, or book an activity. The stuff was very friendly as well. We enjoyed the calm atmosphere and the convenient location, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

One major inconvenience was the hairdryer setup in the bathroom. It was attached inside a drawer, with the cord running through it, making it nearly impossible to use comfortably. You basically had to lean into the drawer to dry your hair. Another downside was the breakfast. While the basics were covered, the variety was quite limited, especially for vegetarians. There were very few alternatives, and no plant-based milk options at all, which was disappointing given the otherwise modern setting of the hotel.

The beach front, excellent layout. Also restaurant with view to the ocean. It's close to many shops and restaurants.

Too many flies in the restaurant. Maybe you can implement table fans for flies on each table.
