Perfect service, 100% customer oriented, friendly staff. Very nice rooms with great beds. Fabulous food. Also enjoyed the saltwater pool very much. Good vibe. 100% recommend.

Staff was great but restaurant food was just ok. We had just arrived from Santa Teresa and the food there was very very fresh and good. Additionally, the pillows and bedding were just ok, too much polyester.

Front desk staff were always smiling and helpful, location was beyond perfect, rooms were large.

No Television in the rooms. Hotel was a bit overpriced but most hotels in that area of Costa Rica usually are.

Exceptional customer service, beautiful rooms and architecture. The hotel was super clean and felt very safe. The pool was gorgeous and clean as well. Very good location right by the beach. I highly recommend this place if you are willing to pay a bit more.

It was a little unclear what was included with the breakfast, we got stung with a big bill at the end for coffees we thought were included.

Everything was kept so clean and the staff were so friendly. Breakfast was amazing!

The staff was so accommodating and helpful. They helped us book a car for our last day, even though we were no longer staying there and were coming from a different part of Costa Rica that day.

There’s room for improvement with the food and service At the restaurant. Some of the food at the restaurant was poorly executed. Service at the restaurant could be better. Everyone was friendly but not entirely attentive. I was never offered to see a dessert menu; when I finished a drink I was not offered something else.

Great hotel, prime location, very nice staff. It’s walking distance from the beach. Comfortable rooms.

This place is a dream. Staff are great at accommodating every wish professionally. Ground kept incredibly clean daily. Pool area is amazing. Location is perfect for surf, and adventures in area.

wow, stay here! it’s beautiful and clean, the staff are wonderful and go above and beyond. they offer some 5 star service perks while still keeping the vibe laid back and relaxed. the pool is big enough that you can relax quietly on a sun lounger ever when it’s busy. the restaurant is good and the rooms are soundproof. as a solo female I felt very safe and comfortable. Will absolutely be staying here again, can’t say enough good things.

The kids complained that the pool was too hot!! The only downside was the hotel was open to the road, so anyone could walk in, so had to be a bit more vigilant of belongings, but all very laid back.

Beautiful hotel, a short walk away from the beach. Rooms were great, lovely decor, comfy beds, very clean. Salt water pool and short walk to hotel surf club, where you could rent boards and arrange lessons. Food was great and staff all very friendly. Laid back atmosphere and great restaurant.

We loved everything

Everything is very nice, very special workers and hotel. We felt welcome at all times, the atmosphere is super chill. The bedrooms are comfortable and big. The balcony is spacious and private. They sent us WhatsApp messages everyday with the times for low and hi tides and other important info. Breakfast was fulfilling and restaurant was good. The beach is across the street, it’s beautiful.

Didnt eat dinner there, But, breakfasts were the best. Staff was alwasy courteous. Ceasar was such a great kid, Ami at the desk was so smiley and nice. All the girls were and the guys just great. Even the guy cleaning the pool at 5:30AM was super friendly. Love them all .

Our only issue was that people claimed the few sunbathing chairs around the pool for hours without actually using them. Patrons should not be permitted to leave a towel and book or water bottle on a chair in one of the prime locations for more than 30 minutes unattended. One family took the two best chairs in the pool area for 4 hours, two days in a row, and did not actually occupy those chairs for 3 out of those 4 hours! That was highly irritating. We chose a small, boutique hotel to avoid dealing with this issue, it makes an otherwise pleasant experience unnecessarily stressful. Also, it would be very helpful if the hotel offered a machine to speed dry bathing suits. They are particularly good to have in humid climates.

The staff were exceptionally friendly everywhere we went in the hotel, and at the Surf Club. We loved our room, it was a double queen with a large balcony overlooking the pool area. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the bathroom was beautiful and well planned, and both the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean.

The hotel is very family orientated there were lots of teenagers and older kids around the pool area which we liked as our 3 children enjoyed socialising and meeting new friends. The hotel food was excellent. The staff are very friendly and they go out of their way to help you.

Many of the wait staff were extremely slow to get to tables. So when you have an adventure planned, you find yourself with anxiety to get your breakfast before you have to leave. I also don’t think they should give you a bill amount for breakfast when it’s included. the next hotel we are staying in has us signing a $0 bill for breakfast which makes more sense and they serve the items like fruit and breads which are included. The Guilded Iguana only served fruit when asked because they say people waste it but no one asked us if we even wanted it and it took days for us to ask about it to figure it out. I didn’t care for the trouble the stores attached to the 10% discount for the surf club membership gave to use the discount. It is not that much of a discount for them to make me stand there only for them to tell me the discount only applies to the monthly membership. No one that stays at the Guilded Iguana needs to have trouble over a mere 10% discount or have them say, “This item is included but not that item.”
