It was a very interesting hotel where you could feel connected with nature. You can even spot a wildlife. It was not directly on the tree but it felt like it was, especially when the winds were blowing strong. It was remote and quiet, just 3-4 minutes away from Santa Elena town and very close to the nearby cloud forests. The staff was polite. The room was very clean and spacious enough. The road to the house was gravel but good for every type of vehicle (at least during the dry season).

The first night we didn’t know that the water heater had to be turned to a certain setting to be hot, so we had lukewarm showers.

Staying here was magical, trees right outside the window, feeling the wind rustling through, but knowing the cabin was very sturdy and safe. One of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed. Very comfortable with a coffee maker, fridge, glasses and cups. No a/c, but wasn’t needed at all, we actually asked for extra blankets

Although breakfast was included for which we were very grateful, we found that the quality was below average.

Alexander and Elizabeth, owners and managers of this magical property welcomed us like family. There are four cabins nestled amongst the trees. The room included a coffee maker and small refrigerator. The teak lined room is very comfortable and very clean. We were offered the use of the kitchen in the common breakfast building, which was wonderful for us to cook our dinners. It is located just outside of town, a beautiful hilly walk.

House in the trees, it was amazing experience. Balcony with chairs. Fridge, coffee maker, heater. Nice breakfast. Friendly owner. They were flexible in dealing with the extra person arriving when I wanted to change to a bigger room.

The room was basic but adequate. You would need a 4 Wheel Dr. to get up the road.

The property was very pretty and it was nice to be up in the trees in our room. The breakfast was included and was fine. The location was very convenient to Santa Elena, and yet it seemed in the country.

The only negative is about Monteverde in general, the road between La Fortuna and Monteverde is rough and requires a 4WD. The staff were very kind and warned us about this though and suggested alternate routes.

Loved the cabin, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The included breakfast was really good.

Just an idea: maybe some string lights or other ambient lights in the room for a cozy light in the evening But all in all, it was awesome!

Awesome place - the little tree houses were really comfortable and cozy, the whole area was so nice breakfast was good, the people were friendly and helpful - just nice :-) wifi was really good, too!

I liked everything. But few things to know before you book, to keep expectations per reality: Have 4x4 car. The road is really bumpy. You are in the jungle. Seeing a spider in a bathroom is the norm. Owners suggest to call them for help if you see anything making you uncomfortable. My wide and myself were totally fine with couple spiders, not an issue for us.

Perfect cabin in the jungle! Clean & comfortable bed, hot shower, testy breakfast. What else to ask for in a jungle?

Highly recommended. A unique experience staying in treehouses in the cloud forest. The hosts were wonderful, friendly, and truly love sharing their homeland and heritage with guests. We just happened to be their during the worst tropical storm of recent memory, and they couldn't be understanding and concerned about our safety during the nationwide red alert.
