Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Costa RicaIt is very difficult to answer this question! There was an only inconvenient; the chef was out of the country, cause it is low season, so we didn’t get to try his menu.
The property is surrounded by exotic gardens! We met the man in charge of, Arturo, who gave us a lot of plants tips. He was very friendly with us.

United KingdomThere is some construction noise next door on a new build, but this didn’t bother me. It might bother some people so thought I’d mention it.
Super comfortable bed, modern, luxury, clean. Breakfast was delicious & different on each day I was there. Across the road from Bodhi Tree Yoga so perfect to base to do yoga. Staff very friendly and professional.

CanadaThere was a mouse that ran into our room under the closed and locked patio doors and our bathroom had many ants in it. It is described as a luxury/boutique yoga and surf hotel but I would say that’s not quite accurate. They can recommend these services from other companies, but don’t offer them directly. It is a bit of a distance to the area of town with bars and restaurants- would definitely recommend a vehicle of some sort to get around
The breakfast was 10/10 and the chef serving breakfast was always very kind! The pool was beautiful, and the bed was comfortable. They also have another very good chef there that does dinners most nights of the week which we really enjoyed.

United StatesUnfortunately during our stay there was construction going on immediately next door, this created a lot of noise in an otherwise peaceful location.
The property was beautiful, with a lovely outdoor pool and dining area. It was easily accessible and in a great location.

United StatesNo frills, no kleenex, no TV. I didn't miss the TV, but know that it is not available.
The property is very beautiful and inspires a 'Zen' mood. Gardens and pool are lovely and quiet. The room is simple and clean. I stayed in one of the most basic. There are only 9 rooms on the property. It had a low Japanese style bed which was very comfortable. The WIFI worked well. Bath had spacious shower and nice bath gel, shampoo, and conditioner. The front desk was very gracious in allowing me a generous late check-out and the staff helped me move my luggage to a yoga retreat just down the street (Bodhi Tree).

United StatesDue to the time of the week we stayed, their restaurant is only open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and would have loved to have something onsite for dinner since most restaurants are a bit of ways away and we needed transportation to get there every night. That’s just most of Nosara though with places being spread out.
The property was gorgeous. A tranquil oasis in Nosara. The beds were super comfortable and the room was very homey. AC in room was amazing. Julia was also a great help in our stay here. She answered any questions I had regarding tours, food, things to do, transportation and was helpful in organizing it all for us. The free breakfast was delicious every morning with coffee. The staff were all friendly. Across the street was Bodhi where I was able to take a yoga class which was nice.

CanadaThe pools were very warm, fine for people that like the warm water but not that refreshing in the heat.
Breakfast was included and delicious, not much variety to it but that’s ok. Comfortable bed and clean rooms. Really interesting layout to the hotel. Main road was close but far enough so traffic noise wasn’t that bad.

Its comfort its architecture moreover it was quiet , no constant music in the background like unfortunately in many places . It feels just wonderful to be able to listen to the jungle sounds and this should be more celebrated ;) All staff was also very professional and helpful . We also liked meeting the big hotel pet: the well fed iguana !

We loved our stay at the white palms. We felt that the White Palms offered an oasis of tranquility and peace in Nosara, but was still close to restaurants, beaches, and amenities.

CanadaYou pretty much have to drive everywhere - beach is at least 10 min walk but it’s so dusty and smelly (atv diesel fuel) that we drove. All restaurants are close but still a drive. The traffic on the main road is noisy, especially in the morning.
Beautiful, private casitas that are comfortable and fairly spacious. Pool area was lovely, quiet and relaxing. Julie at reception is friendly and helpful. Walking distance to Bodhi Tree yoga.

CanadaThere were some small maintenance issues in the rooms that needed to be addressed.
Restaurant ownership was just turning over so they only served breakfast but the food they served was fabulous. Staff were helpful and friendly. Small boutique hotel with only 8 rooms, so nice and quiet. The 3 plunge pools were refreshing in the heat. The place is well designed and the architecture beautiful.

United StatesWish there was room service and food available to order until 9 or 10:00pm as many of the flights come in late or can be delayed. The morning breakfast was a little lack luster but good. They need to improve the service. We had to go ask for everything, no one came and asked us for our order.
The property is amazing and secluded and quiet allowing for amazing relaxation. Love that is it a small boutique hotel with limited rooms. But the best thing about the property is the bartender Fonz!!! He is personable and helpful and is the example of what customer service should be. He is one of the main reasons I would be coming back! He is a ROCKSTAR!!!
