We were upgraded which made the value for money very good including the pass to the park (we paid 86€ for two people). - They can provide you with great guides! We had an awesome experience with ours for the twilight tour.

The restaurant is convenient but not very good

Very friendly staff, helps in any regards. Very nice resort overall. Room very good (we decided to come again end of our journey), great walks in the jungle, great location to relax.

The room was spacious and clean. The trails on the property were a nice addition. We encounter an howler monkey while crossing the bride.

To access the trails, you need to cross a suspension bridge, which may not be suitable for those with a fear of heights. Some of the trails are not well maintained, with muddy and slippery sections that can be challenging to navigate. The breakfast was average, without many options

Breakfast was good, nice variety, to go breakfast bag for our early flight. Lodge grounds had lots of animals- sloths, frogs, snakes, toucans. Great stay, staff very friendly and helpful.

Kids would have loved a pool.

In the middle of the rainforest so great fauna and flora. Really enjoyed the night walk. Lovely watching wildlife from your breakfast table. It would be great if they could rent out some good binoculars.

Great location on the banks of the Sarapiqui River, impressive suspension bridge walkway across the river to the tropical forest on the other side, very good guided tours at night and in day time. Friendly restaurant with reasonable food for dinner and breakfast. Simple but comfortable rooms. Be sure to also book a visit to "Dave and Daves" park 150 metres down the road as well for good visibility of local animal and bird species.

Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was buffet style with fresh foods. Juice and coffee were great. The location was the best. It was far enough away from the main road for quiet sleeping and at the same time being close enough to town to walk in a eat or shop.

    Property response:

Hola Tim, thank you for coming, we hope see you soon.

The people who work there are very helpful and kind

For the price, the room was very bare and there were only overhead, extremely bright lights. The beds were uncomfortable and there was only one very skinny table in the room. Sparse and uncomfortable.

Breakfast was basic but satisfactory. The location is good; nice trails to follow although not lots of animals to see. The chocolate tour was fun! Dave and Dave’s up the road is worth a visit whilst you’re staying here - amazing birds to see close up.

The room was quite basic. The outdoor seating looked onto a basic yard with an ugly fence so not good to use.

The place is delightful, an educational and environmental preservation program built around a very nice hotel. The staff are helpful and pleasant as well as knowledgeable. For me the only flaw was the somewhat inadequate guest room furnishings, but we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay.

Room furnishings were not well thought out - placement of beds and tables, location of limited lighting, no chairs, no towel racks, etc.

Beautiful location, helpful and friendly staff, guided walks were exceptional, unique experience to hike the hanging bridge over the river. Lovely dining room that was great for bird and wildlife viewing during our meals.

The private reserve with the trails a d bridges is the main reason for staying in this lodge. The guides are knowledgeable and they're are animals like sloths, monkeys and green iguanas right around the buildings. There's a coffee maker and tea and coffee available in the room.

The restaurant area and the food is very plain and the older rooms could do with a little update.

This is an amazing place. We booked last minute so missed out on the evening Bat Tour. If you go be sure to book this in advance. Otherwise you don't need a tour. The place is amazing with all of the wildlife - actually not on the trails but close to the rooms. The trails are lots of fun and the hanging bridges espescially.

The location was great, so close to the national park and an amazing amount of different animals. We did the night tour and the guide was so knowledgeable and spotted animals we never would have seen.

Staff was very helpful and gave us a better room when we expressed disappointment in the first offering. The location was convenient to take a morning walk in the forest.

The room, though clean, was extremely plain. No decorative touches at all, and lighting was harsh. Although you are in a wooded area, most rooms look out onto an un-landscaped courtyard and fence. We thought the price was a bit high for what they offered.

Great birds and animals right in the gardens. Good management of the jungle across the river. Lots of educational outreach and tours and many offerings from cacao tours to moth id.

Stayed in room 18. Walls are too thin to prevent noise from neighbors at night.
