Nice pool to relax & breakfast included Location good for accessing park & they also helped us book an excellent horse riding activity for a half day trip

Hotel just had the appearance of needing a bit of tlc following a hard season. Few broken tiles & a jaded feel. Sits right on main road which remains busy to quite late. Staff have a massive dog that wanders the site (no issues with that but not friendliest - barks & frighteningly launched himself twds us when saying hello). Also a few turds dumped around our car parking area which should have been seen & cleared - not the greatest sight in the morning

Beautiful location and great facilities. The pool is delightful and from it I saw parrots, a tiger heron and a sloth in just a few minutes. The rooms stay cool all they and I didn't even need to use the AC, although all rooms have it.

Location is very good and staff is friendly

The facilities are in really bad shape, we stayed at a bungalow and we had water leaks two consecutive nights. Our room was flooded due to constant rain.

Location seemed a bit of a bummer at first, can't really walk to other restaurants because the road in front of the hotel is tricky to walk (no pavements), but the food they serve is good and affordable. The chefs can cook, compliments. No need to eat anywhere else if you stay 1 or 2 nights I guess. You can't hear the cars on the road from the hotel, that's nice. Shower is warm, the pool is decent and they have a cocktail happy hour, lots of beers to choose from etc.

Can't really say we disliked anything!

We got a villa and it was excellent. The host Andre was very helpful. His English is perfect too. It's far enough away from the road to be quieter than most places.

    Nothing. No complaints at all.

    Nice surroundings.

Not very walkable but I should have done my research. Ubers and the bus make it easier.

I liked the breakfast, which was a combination of a menu and a buffet. The outside area (pool+terraces) was nice and had a great atmosphere.

The room was quite outdated, dark and had a damp smell (which maybe can't be helped due to climate...?). Didn't give the cleanest impression. Overall fine for a night or two, but in my opinion overpriced. I think you can find better for this price.

Room could be cleaner but it was spacious and comfy.

The staff is very sympathetic, helpful and positive. Hotel has nice pool, and own restaurant / bar.

Premises seem bit older and could use some repairs or updates.

The property was in an incredible location very close to Manuel Antonio and lots of restaurants and shops.

The furniture was all old and some falling apart. Money needs to be put into updating the furniture and pool and towels etc. We saw broken pool tiles and the nightstand in our room. The food was very bland.

    The pool.

Staff (front desk) was rude rude rude! Not only to us, but to other tourists as well. Asking people to leave the lobby area if they were speaking to anyone prior to you entering, overcharging for children (beyond agreed upon rate).

    Property response:

Hello Gale, For an exclusive area, you have a great price, but you failed to write children ages properly and thus take advantage of the system. I explained this to you several times, and you kept denying the facts (If your children are 7 & 3 but you mark 0 & 0), how are you not expecting a surcharge? You failed to input the information properly and call me rude cause you didn't get your way? Not very Canadian on your part P.S. All our guests deserve to have the check-in in private. we accommodate a lounge outside with service, games, and library while we wait 5 to 10 minutes at the most for our turn

We had a great experience here. The bar and restaurant provides ease as well as the pool being in a lovely natural setting. I spent time in the mornings out in the hammock on our deck bird and animal watching. Staff was welcoming and helpful.
