We loved everything about this hotel! It was beautiful and cozy, and had lovely facilities including a nice big common area with lots of beautiful plants, hammocks and sofas to relax in, and a pool area as well. The rooms were nice and clean, everything was in good condition and the staff and owner were the nicest, most helpful people you could imagine. A wonderful place to stay! We would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Uvita.

Pierre and his staff went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed for my stay and more. I ended up extending my stay for a few days because I loved the hotel so much! Great vibes for everyone from solo travelers to families.

We booked with the breakfast included but one of our day trips started earlier than the breakfast. Usually, I've seen hotels and hostels prepare a breakfast package in this case (especially since we booked through the hotel) but this was not possible here which we thought was unfortunate.

Very easy to book trips there, the staff was really friendly and gave us many information. Very nicely decorated and cute place, hammocks in the common area which create a very nice atmosphere and a good place to hang out, no matter if you have a shared or private room. The kitchen is also good. The breakfast was very tasty - a traditional gallo pinto that we liked a lot.

Welcoming host, good breakfast and very nice bedroom with a very comfy bed, nice bathroom and AC. Just what we needed to stop in Uvita on our way to Corcovado. We did notr try the beach or private kitchne but all looked nice and well kept. 2 cats there and some hummingbirds.

Have stayed here multiple times, and it's always clean, comfortable, and safe. Super friendly staff (Sebastian is the best!!) and a short walk to our favorite restaurant in the area (Mosaic for wine & sushi). Best value option in the Uvita area!

I loved everything about the hotel! The town is a bit boring (it "rolls up the sidewalks" around 8 pm), but the beaches are first-class.

Pierre, the owner, is one-of-a-kind. No matter how busy he is, he takes the time to help guests with whatever they need - from restaurant recommendations to just listening when you need someone to talk to. The entire staff is friendly and efficient. If there was a 5-star rating for the best place to stay, Tucan would get 6! - CTS

We absolutely loved our stay at Tucan hotel. Pierre the owner is great and his staff also very friendly and they provide good tips and support to make the best of your stay. It’s a cool mix between hotel service and hostel flair, everything was clean and a very good bakery is next door. We can totally recommend staying here when in Uvita.

Amazing staff and super comfortable facilities! I recommend the Tucan Hotel to everyone and especially to solo travels: I felt great here! I stayed in a dorm and it was great. The breakfast was very tasty. The hotel is very well located and I think it's the best place to stay in Uvita :)

Housekeeper throwing out current guests fresh food from fridge. When confronted became very aggressive and rude. But, she does a fantastic job keeping the place clean.Otherwise, this has been the best hostel I have stayed in Costa Rica.

The staff was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and fun to talk to, The lobby was great with all the hammocks, pool was nice and not as chloriney as some, and they had a book exchange.

The amenities, the rooms and the complete Hotel is a really good experience for travellers! Prices are moderate if you compare with the rest of uvita! So for me it is a 10 star hostel! It also had a pool and many places for chilling!

Room was too small. We had a guest for maybe 2 hours and the service personal wanted to charge extra for that. Price was a bit to expensive.

Good breakfast. Good infrastructure with swimming pool, billard and tables.
