The communal dining area had a nice outlook onto the river and it was a quiet location away from the main town

The original booking was slightly misleading.

After arriving we were somewhat disappointed with the original booking. The staff were excellent and were able to upgrade us to a glamping suite. The resort was clean and very relaxing. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly.

We liked everything

We stayed at the glamping accommodation with our own jacuzzi, hammock, balcony overseeing the jungle with monkeys parading in front of us in the morning. The restaurant/breakfast area was all open and overlooking the river. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating of changes in plans/tours.

The glamping ecolodge was very comfortable and ideal to rest during the day between explorations in Tortuguero. The private pool, terrace and shower are refreshing

It is difficult to rate this stay, as Tortuguero is a unique and remote location where I understand it can be challenging to build infrastructure or source fresh food. That said, I found the price for one night in the glamping accommodation quite high for what is offered. The gardens are beautiful and the setting is lovely, but the breakfast fell well below expectations. Overall, I would rate my stay a 4 out of 5. If I were to return to Tortuguero, I would likely explore other accommodation options

Due to the location, boat is needed to join the Tortugero village.

Excellent service, all personnal very nice and helpfull. Great location, very quiet. Room very confortable. Monkey just on the roof of the hotel. Nice swimming pool. Free boat 4 times per day.

A few niggly issues like the hot water and AC not working, but all resolved quickly and promptly so no real issue

Though there were 3 free boats per day in and out Tortuguero from the hotel, if you need to do the trip outside the schedules you'll need to pay the taxi yourself, 2000 CRC per person. Keep that in mind when you book it

The food is a little bit expensive and the boat to the city at awkward hours. Remember to add that expense on your calculations.

Loved it. Location was fabulous. Although you had to get a boat across to the town that was part of the fun. The accommodation, grounds and pool were lovely, the food was good (we ate in both days (which is very unusual for us) and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Great early morning wildlife boat trip with Antonio. Saw and learnt a lot. Big thumbs up and thank you to all the staff from us.

There are only 3 free boat slots to go to Tortuguero : 11am, 3pm and 5pm. 11 am is clearly too late as it’s already very hot. A boat at 8 am would have been perfect. We felt stuck in the hotel.

Very beautiful garden, the staff is very nice and helpful. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool a lot. Good breakfast.

Excellent rural location overlooking the water. It was quiet but easy to get the shuttle boat to the main centre. Very informative boat tour with lots of wildlife. Howler monkeys and toucans in the trees of the grounds.

The abundance of wildlife we got to see here was the great. We got close-up pictures of howler monkeys , spider monkeys, aracaris, hummingbirds, falcon and other birds. The staff was wonderful. They stay on top of all things requiring any maintenance. We saw them clean the air conditioners, swap out old mattresses and furniture, and they mopped the floors after meals and wiped down everything. They had good breakfast and dinner options.

Nothing. Everything was wonderful.

We stayed in bungalow 6 which was set back in the jungle. We were thankful for the cold plunge pool after returning from our tours. We had a family of spider and a family of howler monkeys come right through our back area. Toucans too. The lunch and dinners were the best. Great taste profiles. Just delicious. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We stayed two nights and wish it were longer.
