Liked having the apartment so we could cook breakfast and dinner. Nice walk along the beach to town. Pool nice and refreshing. Like that we could rent boogie boards right at the hotel. Lifeguards on the beach. Nicely priced Fresh brewed coffee at front desk.

Only 2 chairs round the table. Thought there were better cooking facilities. Fridge leaked one day and something in the bathroom another so lots of wet floor!

Nice pool, easy access to beach, comfortable, quiet. Bag storage for the day we checked out. Lots of wildlife. 10 minutes walk to national park. Ready access to restaurants

A beach location with a pool. This was my granddaughters 1st visit to CR, and this was the perfect spot . They saw 3 different types of monkeys and a sloth on the hotel property.

The location is incredible - a few steps from the gorgeous beach, and with whitefaced monkeys playing in the trees! The staff upgraded us for free into an accessible room with two queen beds when they saw my mother was on crutches with a sprained ankle. They also allow you to continue to use the facilities and give you access to showers and towels etc after check out time. The pool is lovely, and it is slightly away from the main strip meaning it is very peaceful, but everything within a 10 minute walk (or 2 minute drive). They can book ANYTHING you want for you. Power cut out a few times, but that can't be helped I guess. Loved it!

The room was quite basic and the windows looked out on the open air corridor to the other rooms. The water pressure in the shower was a bit low

The location is amazing, the hotel has direct beach access. Being able to wake up and walk along the beach without any planning was a real joy. You can walk to restaurants, bars and shops in < 5 mins. The aircon was very good

Didn’t bother me, but if you’re not a fan of crabs, don’t stay in the student rooms, the corridor was full of them and had several baby ones in my room during my stay.

You can’t beat this location! Just steps from the beach and close to all the shops and restaurants. We had the 1 bedroom suite, so we traded extra space for a view. Squirrel monkeys played in the trees by the pool. Iguanas just walked around. Scarlett macaws were eating almonds just outside the gate. Breakfast at the on site outdoor restaurant was good and cheap. Be sure to try the coffee! Will miss the little orange and white cat. Pura vida!

The pool was amazing! The beach was amazing! The staff was amazing! The beach could definitely be more comfortable. It would be better if there were blackout curtains in the front window bc there is a light outside each one. I could have used another blanket but I didn’t ask for one. We did ask for extra pillows which they brought right away. There was a hotel kitten named Jaco was a super added bonus! While I only saw one monkey on the property, lots of other people said they saw them at the pool and even a sloth closer to the evening. They have towels you can take to the beach or pool. They are the same size as a bathroom towel. Just an fyi. Not an issue. The photos online make it look like there were beach chairs for the hotel but they do not have any. But there is a guy who rents them right there. We got 3 chairs and a shade for about $15 for all day. There are 5 lounge chairs and the pool but they always seemed to be available. The restaurant on site was so good too. Closed Wednesday, just an FYI. Check out was at 11 but they will hold your bags and you can stay all day. There is a bathroom in the lobby with a shower to use.

The hotel is very well located and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. However when we were about to check in, I got attacked by a swarm of wasps that were on the hotel’s parking lot. The front desk staff watched on impassively as I was stung multiple times and didn’t even have the decency to ask if I was alright. They did not have any first aid kit nor did they offer any help. It was very dehumanizing and plain rude. Because of that, I’ll stay somewhere that has attentive staff next time I go to Manuel Antonio.

You pay a deposit for beach towels but they’re the exact same as the room towels. It would have been nice to have bigger towels for the beach. Can’t complain about anything, the place was great.

The private bedroom en-suite was clean and comfortable. Super great location for Manuel Antonio. A quick 5 min walk to tons of great restaurants and attractions, and a few steps to the most beautiful beach view. The restaurant staff were fantastic, friendly, and provided great food and company.

but the hotel was run down , staff not very helpful or interested . The lady at reception didn’t greet us when we arrived . Didn’t try the breakfast . The sheet was dirty had to be changed the pillows were old . 4 star prices for 2 star hotel . Shame as we were really looking forward to staying in it . Was locked out of room so they just gave me all the keys to all the rooms never had that before ! Not good customer services as I have Worked in customer services for many years .
