Sadly, the almost constant traffic noise from the highway traffic and trucks using engine brakes drowns out the howler monkeys and bird calls and the jungle experience this ecoresort would otherwise have.

The pool is beautiful and clean. There is well-maintained series of steps down to a short walking path (but no access to Playa Tortuga or the ocean). The grounds and landscape are beautiful. The restaurant is very good. Cabin was clean and comfortable (but none of cabins have fridges).

There's a road right next to the property and the noise if the roaring engines from the trucks going up the hill was really disturbing day and night. Also there was a weird smell from sewage or something on parts of the footpath to the exit. There was no furniture except for the bed and side tables in the room, absolutely nowhere to put anything. And while the seaside is close, it's not a sandy beach.

The room was spacious and pretty, the bed was comfortable. There's a nice pool and pool area with a good view and my bungalow was up near the pool also. Restaurant at the entrance where breakfast is served works well for other meals too. There's an adventurous trail to get to the beach. The people at the reception couldn't be nicer!

I think the checkin staff could be a little more thorough....we did not receive any information about the breakfast hours. We had to ask several times for extra towels and toilet paper (we were 5 people staying there for 4 nights). The house had a kitchen but no utensils, plates, cups, etc which we had to go and bring from the restaurant. Overall, everything worked out I just think for the price we paid, and considering they weren't ready at the time of check in, that they would be a little more prepared.

Breakfast was good - house was a great size and fit all 5 of us comfortably. The pool area was nice too.

Unfortunately, it is situated very near the highway, on a bit of a downhill so we constantly heard trucks down shifting on the road Room could have used a little table and chairs, there was ample room They were quite shortstaffed in the dining room, so service was a bit slow. There was a ~14 person tour group there which didnt help,.but the one waiter was super polite and working hard. ..and our food was very good. Also, it would have been good to know that the only shaded area by the pool was under construction. It seemed as if this place was under new ownership? They might just be getting things up and running. Once they finish construction and get fully staffed, I'm sure it will be a 9 out of 10

Nice private cabins. Food was excellent. Staff were very friendly Saw and heard many monkeys early in the morning

On the first night, hot water in our shower was not working, and we didn't have soap to wash our hands in the room (both issues were resolved the next day). One of the matresses was excedengly soft, so you we ended up into a hole and with a back pain in the morning. There is a hamock outside each room, but at least in our case, we had to use it with caution because due to the angle it was placed it could break a window of the cabin.

The place is surrounded by tall trees that keep the area somewhat cool. Some birds come near the rooms. And some monkeys pass across the forest.

Flexible, fun, and very friendly staff! Saul was very kind in allowing me to check-in early. On top of all also my pickup on the departure day was delayed, he suggested to watch my luggage and I could enjoy myself on the pool until they showed.

There was no small fridge in the room or tea or cafe making facilities. The front sliding doors did not have screens.

The breakfast was basically but it was free. It would be nice to include some local fruit in the breakfast. The pool and the view were amazing. Well worth the forest walk to the beach which is about 15 minutes but suitable for active people only. We had a dog with us and it was nice to feel so welcome. Our room was near the pool and away from the road noise which was great.

Cold showers. Windows did not close fully, allowing rain in onto bed, location was not in Uvita as expected.

Restaurant was excellent, saw toucans and monkeys from our terrace each morning. Room has been updated to a modern style. Hotel seems to be carrying out updates- lots of potential!

It's a few Km outside of Uvita, but is easy to find.

The breakfast was excellent. We were given a choice of 3 or 4 different meals. The dining room is very well appointed and the service was excellent. The dinner menu was diverse and the food was very good. They have a full bar and an excellent wine list. The property is gorgeous with individual cabins which are well appointed with amenities. The pool is small but has a wonderful view overlooking the jungle. Take advantage of the private trail to Playa Tortuga but be sure to go at low tide for maximum enjoyment.

wish there were fridges in the rooms to keep the Drinks/water cold. Also the proximity of the main road may be bothersome for some but with all the widelife around you you tune out the traffic pretty quick

Great location in the tropical forest, very comfortable rooms and the swimming pool with a great view was definitely a bonus! also the staff, especially Mike, was absolutely amazing. breakfast was great too - there was either an omelette or pancakes on offer and you can request a fruit platter to go with it

the first morning there wasn’t any fruits for breakfast, which is something really strange in a country like Costa Rica. We showed our dissatisfaction and still on the second day, they still didn’t have any but they went to the market to get some, we hope that they maintain having fruits for breakfast for the next customers. the wifi on our room didn’t work.

the environment into the jungle with direct contact with nature, the design of the rooms!
