Reviews of Hotel Villas Tangerine

The rooms were very clean and tidy and had good air conditioning. We had good contact with the staff. Breakfasts were beautifully presented and catered to our tastes. The hotel property and gardens were very well presented and created a relaxing atmosphere.

Confusion over the booking - twin beds were listed and requested by us but were not available. We were under the impression that there was a community cooking area but this was not the case, there is only a shared fridge/freezer. We were charged extra at the facility to have access to a cooking area and an individual bed, although this was just a sofa and not a bed at all.

Tidy, clean and comfy. You can not do anything wrong here.

The WiFi was very unstable and at times not accessible.

We had wonderful and peacful stay at the hotel. Rooms are very cosy and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, delicious and served like a piece of art. The hosts were great, very helpful and polite. They told us some useful information about Samara, where to leave our car to keep it safe in the city center, etc.

-helpful and friendly staff -farm animals, wildlife and nice landscaping within the grounds -felt secure with a gate for parking inside -nice shared pool and shaded rancho for breakfast -good air conditioning in the room

-didn't clean the rooms daily -a 1km walk to the beach along a busy dirt road was longer and less pleasant than we expected (recommend driving) -shower in our room an "open concept" and got the rest of the bathroom damp

This place is exceptional; we were welcomed by Laura to this beautifully landscaped oasis. Everything was spotless, beds were comfortable and the accommodation well planned. Emmanuel served a different gourmet breakfast presented like a work of art every day and was kind and attentive. Howler monkeys came to raid the mango trees across the street one morning and gave us a great show. Local beaches are gently graded, with soft pale sands and fringed with palm trees. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Breakfast was excellent. Beautiful pool. Rooms are very clean and confortable.

The road to get to the resort

This place is a gem. Very quiet neigborhood except for the Sound of wildlife, which we liked and expected. The staff is topshelf and the hostess Jenna constantly went an extra mile for her guests regarding tours and local places. The breakfast is in a league of its own. Different every morning. We Will absolutely return. Highly recommendable.

Great location, quiet but right distance for walking in and out of town. Rooms were modern,clean & bright. Gardens beautifully maintained, breakfasts were best we had in Costa Rica!!

Very nice hotel, with separate villas or small buildings that share one wall and the Hammack with the neibouring suite. Quite, relaxing, convenient placed to hear and see the howler monkeys. It has a common area where breakfast is served, and a shared fridge. We liked it there, and we were so fortunate to see a family of monkeys just a few meters away from the hotel, with babies, travelling towards the forest. It was quite an experience.

This is a charming oasis. It’s peaceful and serene. Wonderful staff and delicious breakfasts. I particularly like the quiet location and relaxing in the hammock watching the farm animals.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Villas Tangerine tremendously. The entire staff was friendly, helpful, and very professional. I looked forward to the breakfast every morning, prepared and served in a perfect setting, overlooking a picturesque field. The room was great; great bed, great shower, and great air conditioning. And an excellent pool in an oasis like setting. I would return.
