The place is not new and feels a bit tiered... we had to pay 240$ for a night. It was way too expensive even for the last days of December. For such price I expected the place to be much more neat.

Comfortable beds for a family. Beach front. Very beautiful beach.

What I did not like about the hotel was its condition. The room was dark and dingy. We had to keep the curtains closed if we didn’t want people looking in.The safe in the room was broken. The showers that you use to wash sand off your feet before being able to enter the hotel itself didn’t work. At first, a little bit of water came out of them, and then no water at all. There were only two outlets— one in the room proper, one in the bathroom. There was an ante room to the main room with an outlet in it, but the refrigerator and the microwave and coffee pot were plugged into that. The shower head was nonfunctional, although I was able to get it to work better. The shower curtain was at the same level as the water barrier, which means a lot of water went out onto the bathroom floor.. there were a number of smaller issues that I didn’t much care for, but they’re not worth listening here. I stayed at hotels like this before. They have so much potential, but no one takes care of them. I would advise the hotel to take better care of the property, especially given the rates that they charge.

This is a decent hotel right on the beach at Playa Hermosa. Walk out of your room, and about a minute later you’re on a beautiful beach. It has a nice swimming pool, a nice grass area before you get to the beach, and the staff is very nice. There are two restaurants right next-door, at a minimally stocked convenience store a three minute walk away. Costa Rica has gotten expensive in the last few years, and this place is no exception. But it was worth what we had to pay simply to be on the beach.

Nice location with view to the sea and the beach just a few steps away. Adults can take a dip in the sea. Warm welcome and very nice staff.

The patio door doesn't give a very secure impression, but I feel the staff kept a good eye on what was happening on their property. Unfortunately, there was a lot of noise from air-braking trucks on the road that lasted late into night.

The Scarlet Macaws! They visited the trees all the time. The room we were in had large windows overlooking the pool and beach area. Good that parking was secure. Supplied a box breakfast when I had to leave very early to bird Carara NP. Several restaurants close by to walk to.

There isn't enough space in the parking lot, so the reception staff might ask you for moving your car to let another guest get out from there, or vice versa. This happened to me twice.

Everything was pretty good! The location is perfect if you want to visit Jaco town. I hingly recommend this place!

Rooms are very old and insecure, not comfortable beds and A/C didn’t woks well.

Beach front it just great, however the beach is not that good and it is very dangerous. Very good Breakfast.

Cleanliness could be improved like curtains, sofa could have been cleaner. Bathroom wash basin tap and flush could be improved. Curtains do not completely close the windows.

Great location, you can hear the waves of the ocean from the room. secured parking. nice swimming pool and pool seating.Good breakfast ( many options to choose from). Kitchen is fine.

The room could use some work - new linens. This was the only hotel we stayed at that didn’t include fruit with all breakfast choices. One choice was fruit (large serving), small serving of flavored yogurt and granola.

Beautiful view! It’s so close to the ocean, the thunderous waves at high tide kept me awake at night! I enjoyed the hammocks and lounge bed for relaxing in the tree shaded area between hotel and ocean. An easy walk to good restaurants and little store. Fridge in room with a water cooler. A pair of macaws hung around one day. Lovely beach walks.

It was fun watching the surfers out in the ocean but wish we could have swam. The waves are too dangerous which is no fault of the hotel.

Staff were very pleasant. The free breakfast was nice and the rooms had a great view. The pool was small but refreshing! The sunsets are beautiful here.

Wonderful location right on a surfing beach. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast served outside the room. Good restaurant next door but closes at 8pm.

Having to go!

We LOVE staying at this property! Every time we do we have a very relaxing stay. We like that the restaurant in right there and that we can have breakfast with a beautiful view of the ocean. We enjoy a cocktail on the lounge chairs poolside and walking on the beach. It's not too commercial here and we love the natural setting. The view is exceptional! Can't wait to get back there soon!

When we arrived we were given the option of two rooms and the one we chose turns out the AC did not work. Was quickly rectified and we moved to the other room. Seems like most of the rooms have bunk beds in them. I think they should remove the bunk beds and the rooms would be a little more roomy. Also the double bed in our room was actually two singles put together and the bedding was made up as singles, kinda strange.

This is a beautiful location with big surf. We loved watching the surfers every day. Saw iguanas just a few feet from our lounge chairs. Also saw parrots and macaws and a brief glimpse of an animal one morning that may have been a possum. The beach is not a swimming beach due to the rip but the pool is lovely. This is a good spot to relax but there is not a lot near here if that is what you are looking for. You can get to Jaco in just 10 minutes or so. We went there once but was too busy for us. Just depends on what you are looking for. The restaurant next door is very good so no need to go far for food. Breakfast was very good sitting watching the waves.

Twin beds pushed together to make a queen , the shower flooded the room, poor amenities , door wouldn't properly secure , safe didnt have a lock ,
