Twin beds pushed together to make a queen , the shower flooded the room, poor amenities , door wouldn't properly secure , safe didnt have a lock ,

The place is not new and feels a bit tiered... we had to pay 240$ for a night. It was way too expensive even for the last days of December. For such price I expected the place to be much more neat.

This is a decent hotel right on the beach at Playa Hermosa. Walk out of your room, and about a minute later you’re on a beautiful beach. It has a nice swimming pool, a nice grass area before you get to the beach, and the staff is very nice. There are two restaurants right next-door, at a minimally stocked convenience store a three minute walk away. Costa Rica has gotten expensive in the last few years, and this place is no exception. But it was worth what we had to pay simply to be on the beach.

What I did not like about the hotel was its condition. The room was dark and dingy. We had to keep the curtains closed if we didn’t want people looking in.The safe in the room was broken. The showers that you use to wash sand off your feet before being able to enter the hotel itself didn’t work. At first, a little bit of water came out of them, and then no water at all. There were only two outlets— one in the room proper, one in the bathroom. There was an ante room to the main room with an outlet in it, but the refrigerator and the microwave and coffee pot were plugged into that. The shower head was nonfunctional, although I was able to get it to work better. The shower curtain was at the same level as the water barrier, which means a lot of water went out onto the bathroom floor.. there were a number of smaller issues that I didn’t much care for, but they’re not worth listening here. I stayed at hotels like this before. They have so much potential, but no one takes care of them. I would advise the hotel to take better care of the property, especially given the rates that they charge.

So close to the beach, just the Macaws between the waves and the private terrace. Can‘t wait to come back…

The whole hotel was just lovely. The manager lily was very helpful the restaurant staff were very keen to help in any way and the food was great

Nice location with view to the sea and the beach just a few steps away. Adults can take a dip in the sea. Warm welcome and very nice staff.

The Scarlet Macaws! They visited the trees all the time. The room we were in had large windows overlooking the pool and beach area. Good that parking was secure. Supplied a box breakfast when I had to leave very early to bird Carara NP. Several restaurants close by to walk to.

The patio door doesn't give a very secure impression, but I feel the staff kept a good eye on what was happening on their property. Unfortunately, there was a lot of noise from air-braking trucks on the road that lasted late into night.

Great location right on the beach

Room smelled of strong chemicals. Sheets and pillows of very poor quality. Very basic 1* quality room, was advertised as a “Mountain View” but surely that’s a joke as it overlooked a storage / junk area and parking lot with no “mountain” in sight. Total price including taxes was $175 and just not worth it at all

Beachfront

Many items in need of repair. Dusty drapes, SINGLE ply toilet paper. Poor pillows. Worn towels.Shower didnt drain.
