Even though the weather was less than optimal, we had a very relaxing stay at Lakeview Arenal enjoying the quiet surrounds, extensive facilities and time with wonderful hosts. Definitely a recommended place to stay if you're in the area.

The view and the room cleaned.

The road access, it is more a dirt path than a road. It took 25 minutes to drive 5km in rough gravel, awful drive. Feel you will damage your vehicle driving through…☹️

Everything , the apartment , the cleaning and decoration including the fresh flowers they put, the location , the landscape specially the view over the lake , breakfast on the social club , Cris and Maricel were amazing hosts friendly and helpful all the time. The property is much better than on the pictures.

Beautiful accommodation and friendly host. Although we did not meet in person, they were aware of our arrival and all the details related to our stay. The room was in perfect condition, 100% clean, bed, towels and kitchen utensils in place. The unit is modern (still smelled new) and the view of Lake Arenal was amazing. I would definitely return!

Liked it so much we decided to add another day to our stay. Perfect place for rest and relaxation!

Exceptional! I brought my mother here as part of a two-week trip across Costa Rica to celebrate her 65th. Of the 5 places we stayed, this was by far our favourite. It sits within a gated community, on spacious, luxuriously green and tranquil grounds. The gardener does an amazing job! The property has everything you need to be self-sufficient, (well equipped kitchen, comfiest mattress, butterflies galore and an abundance of wildlife on your doorstep). Owners, Marcela and Chris, really paid attention to the little things that helped make our stay exceptional. Thank you again! The grounds include a clubhouse, with swimming pool, pool table, games, and breakfast served on some days. The property overlooks Lake Arenal, with a private garden to sit and take in the view during the morning/evening. Neighbours and grounds keepers are all friendly and welcoming. In fact, when leaving we had some trouble starting the car and the neighbours were quick to jump into action to get us on our way. Truly lovely. I could honestly come back here time and time again. Location wise: well situated, although you do need a car. There is a shop 15 minutes drive away. And larger town with more choice close by. You are about 1hr 45 mins from Monteverde Cloud Forest and it is worth stopping at one of the restaurants in Santa Elena along the way.

The property was clean, spacious and in a lovely safe location (inside a gated community). The hosts were superb from start to finish, very accommodating and friendly, offering local advice and great recommendations. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable and relaxing. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is clean and modern and the kitchen area has everything you need. The pool area is amazing.

The last 3.9 km to the property is by a road that is not in good condition

The hosts were very accommodating. The single room was comfortable and nicely decorated. Fresh flowers from the owners garden was a nice touch. It is a converted garage so it separate and private. The location is a gated community with a great view of the lake.

The drive up to the community was unpaved and a the time of our visit, pretty rough. Needed to go very slow. The lighting over the bed was a bit bright. Could use a dimmer or table lamps. No other complaints.

We loved how peaceful, classy and clean the studio is! Great amenities and finishes and the bed was really comfortable. The setting is beautiful and the use of the clubhouse with gym, pool and game room was awesome! The Monday morning community breakfast was tasty and a good chance to commune with other residents and guests. The hosts Ian and Marcela are personable, available and went out of there way to make sure we were comfortable. One of the highlights of a great stay was an amazing reflexology session with Mariela. We also took advantage of a massage in their spa, which was super affordable. The drive from town to their suite was on a short dirt road with great views of the lake, so we chose to buy some food in town to cook in their amply supplied kitchen rather than drive back and forth.

Beautiful location and very quiet. Having a gym was great too, we used that and enjoyed it.

The roads around that part of the world aren't great, you will need a good car!

Accommodation was fantastic, clean, and well designed. Hosts immediately made us feel welcome and like long-lost friends. Would recommend this accommodation to everyone, especially if you want a little slice of tranquillity near Arenal Lake.

Nothing, everything was fantastic!

We had such a great stay, we even extended it for one more day. It‘s a great property to stay in, very quiet with just nature around. The club house offers a lot of on top activities, such as table tennis, billiards, on some mornings you can even find a breakfast service. You can also book a massage (I recommend). The pool is absolutely fantastic! The hosts made us feel very welcome. They furnished the house with very much love and with best quality equipment (we have not experienced anywhere else in Costa Rica). Thank you Chris and Maricela, it was a pleasure to meet you and stay at your place!
