This is more a motel than a hotel used by people who drive trucks/tourists bus's so every morning before the sun comes up you are woken a lot by them starting their vehicles

The location is just a short walk to the main town and staff are friendly. Pool is also clean

Everything else. The property was extremely disappointing. When we arrived at the listed address, we were sent to a completely different location. The photos online looked far nicer than the reality, which was a huge letdown. The place was dirty, smelly, and filled with unpleasant fumes — car exhaust, diesel, organic waste, and even sewage. The whole property reeked. One day, there wasn’t a single English-speaking staff member available, which made everything much harder; it really seems only suitable for Spanish-speaking travellers. For a very small room, they charged double just because I had two kids. Breakfast was a disaster — it took hours to arrive, one of us never even received it, and what did come was different from what we ordered. There were no English menus available. This was despite other guests kindly helping us with the translation. The pool was right on the parking lot, which made it noisy, smelly and unpleasant instead of relaxing. The overall atmosphere was awful. My kids and I wanted to leave as soon as possible. It was overpriced and felt more like a run-down motel than a proper hotel. Nights were loud until midnight, and then at 4:30 a.m., honking and beeping started again. There were also parties going on behind the property. For what we experienced, $30 per night would have maybe been fair — but instead, I paid over $100. Overall, a horrible experience — misleading photos, overpriced, noisy, dirty, and stressful.

Downsides: The WiFi did not work on any device, which is a big deal for us because we needed to check into the airport and I needed to do some work. Others before us complained about this so it’s not just us. The shower water was tricky to work- four different controls, barely was able to get lukewarm water after 10 minutes of fussing with it. The store across the street cranked out super loud music for most of the evening and people were hanging outside it til late. We realize that’s not the hotel’s fault. Probably the most frustrating thing was the confusion about the name of the hotel - after being on a hot sweaty public bus for 4 hours, our taxi dropped us off at the wrong Hotel Wilson Annexo (this is the exactly what I told him). The young man at the reception directed us to the other one- so we walked to that. Then we came to learn that there is a third one- and the nice receptionist drew a map for where this third one was. This is very confusing - I hope somebody takes charge and changes up the names so this doesn’t happen to other people. We could manage and walk but for some that would have been a big hassle!

We just needed one night in Liberia to catch our plane tomorrow. We have been in CR for 35 days so have a lot to compare to! We didn’t book this until last minute for reasons we couldn’t control- everything else was full in town. The reviews before us were inconsistent and now we see why. Seems like our room (#4) was in the process of being updated. There’s no bedside lamp or towel racks. Good parts: The bed linens were clean and fresh smelling. The air conditioner worked well and breakfast was okay except for the lumpy hot powdered milk for breakfast coffee . Would be nice to have some fruit!

The pool seemed quite dirty/cloudy water. The wifi didn’t reach our room which was 2 rooms down from the front desk… had to sit on the bench outside of the room to get connection. No hot water in the shower.

Was noisy all night long the place was dirty with a lot of sewer bugs all over the hotel room. Shower was cold water only and the ac didn’t work very well. All in all was a horrible place to stay and would never recommend it.

Location was ok close to town. It super noisy and people and the staff were partying in the parking lot right outside our window.

Mattresses were not good, could feel the springs. AC didn’t cool unit well. 2 cock roaches in our #18. Heard the neighbor discoteca going. Breakfast included good smells from the neighbors horse barn.

Breakfast was good. Hot water was good. Felt safe on property.

There were ants all over our room. Our room was right next to the road so very loud, and there was an enormous natural gas container right next to the window and five feet from the busy road - seems like a hazard. There was no hot water for showers. The wifi didn't work, it kept kicking us off. For $80 for a double bed this was not worth the money.

The breakfast was mediocre, the location was decent.
