Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceWe didn't really mind, but I have to mention the lack of soundproof walls (we clearly listened to the next door neighbour snoring) and that the bathroom overflowed after two people taking a bath. Especially the second issue must be something that can be easily fixed.
Centrally located premises, offering two spots for parking, one right outside the hotel and another one in a nearby property. Walking distance from restaurants and tour operators. The room was spacious, with comfortable bed and a balcony with view to the pool. The receptionist was kind enough to store our luggage for a couple of hours after check out and also suggested places to have dinner upon our arrival.

AustraliaThe shower temperature was really annoying, either boiling hot or freezing cold. Shared kitchen was quite dirty, a tea or coffee station would've been nice.
Pool and gardens were beautiful. We loved having a balcony in our room. Staff were super friendly. Super clean rooms and nice big bed. Walkable to the beach and a few restaurants in the area

IsraelThe room was very small. I had no hot water and a lot of noise in the room, so I asked to change it, which they did for the next day, so it was resolved. The pillows were very thick and not very comfortable. My room was on the second floor with no elevator, so taking the suitcase up and down was quiet heavy.
Nice hotel, clean room, very helpful staff. The pool was very nice.

AustraliaEverything thing was ok. The adjoining restaurant does play music till 10pm but it didn’t affect my sleep and they played a pretty good play list.
The pool. The location. The staff. I was warmly greeted by Grettel, who took time to introduce me to the property and its facilities. She also gave me good advice about where to visit and where I might best get an opportunity to see bird and wild life. Kevin was the only other staff member that I interacted with but he too was friendly and gave practical advice about my onward travel and places in Costa Rica. I lucked out and a six bed dorm all to myself so enjoyed privacy at a good price point. The dorm room is modern, large, air conditioned and comfortable.

United KingdomPool area could use a little tlc dirty umbrellas and chairs Restaurant is SO expensive and not worth it Staff weren’t very helpful- asked about transportation to San Jose and got told to use bookaway. Asked if they could book us a table at the restaurant and when we turned up they didn’t have our reservation so this clearly wasn’t communicated. Although, the guy on reception when we checked out was nice (didn’t catch his name)
Good value for money Beautiful spacious rooms Good location- walked every where Super cold AC Huge TV

PortugalThe breakfast was not included and was expensive. The shower doors were broken as well as the bathroom window and one of the lights. The towels need to be renewed. The restaurant inside is noisy and the music volume was loud, especially at night, which ruined the overall experience. Parking spots are limited and you need to leave the car key at the reception.
The pool and the outside environment overall was very pleasant and relaxing. Very close to Marino Ballena National Park.

Costa RicaWe booked a room with kitchen and it was just OK, no water heater, no cloths. The stove was useless, it took us a hour to boil water so consider this if you are planning to cook. There's not a lot of parking spaces so that might be an issue.
Location is really good, walking distance to the national park main entrance. It has a nice pool though the water was pretty warm. The bed was nice.

MoroccoI thought the space was amazing and the staff were super friendly. The pool is nice, and the location is excellent. They also offer yoga classes at a good price for guests, which is a great bonus. However, if you're a solo traveler looking to meet people, it might be a bit challenging, as the social atmosphere isn't very strong

GermanyOverall the stay was very enjoyable, but there were some slight "icks". The shower was constantly leaking, so we had to sleep with the sound of water dripping every night. They changed our towels everyday, however these never seemed to be totally clean as they had spots and marks. During the evening the hotel was kind of noisy because of the restaurant connected to it. However it always went quiet around 10pm so it was fine. The Restaurant was quite pricy for what it was, but as I understand it it is separate management from the hotel.
When we arrived at yuli hotel we were absolutely thrilled. The Hotel appears to be very new and looks absolutely fabulous. The pool was nicely surrounded by a lot of flora. Our room was spacious, just like our bathroom. The AC worked perfectly, which was important considering the humid air. Mind you we were backpacking and wanted to treat ourselves with a budget hotel. It was definitely worth it. The Hotel is located super close to the Nationalpark and to many restaurants.

SwedenIt was very loud music during the whole days from the restaurant next door. I would have loved to have somewhere where it could be quiet. I would also have loved to have a small place to work out.

United KingdomThe attached restaurant. Very loud music all day long. Expensive menu and poor food quality. Who puts mint on a pizza! The restaurant is a separate business to the hotel and gets very busy and noisy, especially at night time.

United KingdomTea and coffee making facilities would have been a welcome addition, although there is a communal kitchen which is part of the hotel. There is only limited car parking spaces (max 6) so if you have a car, you may need to park along the road at times.
The Yuli provided a comfortable and relaxing base for 3 days around the Marine Park. The room was simple in layout with a good bathroom. The balcony was great too, and the small hotel pool ideal to relax by in the sun. There is an on site restaurant although if you are keeping an eye on the budget, you may prefer to visit the numerous good restaurants and cafes within walking distance.

United KingdomSome basic amenities were missing for a hotel aiming for a higher-end feel. For example, no coffee maker in the room—you had to go to a converted shipping container to make coffee, which was a bit odd. The shower door in our room was off its runners and didn’t work properly, which made using it frustrating. No housekeeping during our two-day stay. The poolside restaurant was very expensive. 6USD for a small bottle of beer and 15USD for a glass of wjite wine. Soundproofing was poor—on one night, we were kept awake by an extremely loud shower from the room above and to the side of us.
A lovely hotel with a nice pool, which was much appreciated in the heat. Very close to the beach, making it a great location. Onsite restuarant looked very nice.
