Just be informed that the bathroom is outside the room, but for private use by dedicated room guests only (which was not a problem for us). I am not quite sure if the warm breakfast side (e.g. bacon or banana pancakes) are remade when they are low in quality throughout breakfast hours. During our stay we had breakfast with 6 other guests, which caused a fast decrease of bacon - which was not replenished automatically while we were at the table. But maybe it is easily made when you request the staff to make some extra.

Irene is a really pleasant host of the B&B, who gave a lot of useful advice on nearby restaurants and bars. The Casa is very well maintained by the staff, who are super friendly. The rooftop terrace is a nice place to sit outside (covered for extensive sun or in our case heavy rainfall). We stayed in the 'Delfts blue' room which was decorated super cute. The breakfast was tasty and we felt so welcomed when we received the on-house mini bar drinks/snacks for free! Casa Alegria knows how to make clients happy by small gestures! Casa Alegria is also closely located near the Santiago diving center which was super convenient for us, and on a decent walking distance from the Museum of Resistance (so no need to take the 'van communal' for this, if you like to walk).

We loved our stay at B&B Casa Alegria! Its situated in a calm area, but just around the corner from everything. we loved our room, with the balcony and big bathroom across our room. The location to the main street and the coastal walkway to the beaches were excellent The guest house is two houses, we were in a small room, only issue was no hanging area or coat hangers for clothes but overall the room was very tastefully done and the bed was super comfortable The staff are pleasant and helpful and the whole house is immaculately clean The breakfast on the roof terrace is very nice, the access is via a spiral staircase The pretty sitting area outside the guest house is very nice and relaxing and a tropical garden I would recommend and I definitely would visit again

Wifi sometimes slow, but totally not the fault of Alegria. They have a good system, but it is just not coming in sometimes (wifi company can do better I think!)

Second time at this nice and cosy place. It will be my home, when visiting cv for work. Lovely happy staff, and again a perfect breakfast on the rooftop. See you next month again.

The internet was not good in the building (room) we stayed although the connection was better in the main building. This is probably a general problem though since the internet in Tarrafal was not good.

The location was great as it was just few minutes walk to the beach as well as the center. What we really liked most was the people working there as they were very friendly and helpful, especially the owner, who kindly allowed us to use the bathroom for shower after the checkout. We really appreciate it and recommend this place to everyone visiting Tarrafal!

Two separate times in a few days I stayed in Alegria. Because of work I had to leave my suitcase there. What a service! Alegria means happy! And it is! Nice breakfast on the roof terrace, clean room with a free minibar with a nice wine, water and juices, quiet area, perfect and helpful communication with the staff and the owner. Also as a business traveler, a perfect place to stay. I will be back!

It is difficult to know where to begin! From arrival we felt welcomed. The hotel is well designed, the rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean. There are so many little touches to make it feel you’ve arrived to stay with family or friends. Our host Irene is enthusiastic and super helpful. Offering suggestions and help for every travel question (and we had many)!! Breakfast was ample and covered all the bases as to offerings that were fresh and yummy! Our airport transfers went smoothly. Excellent drivers in both directions. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our days here and highly recommend Casa Alegria as a great base to visit the northern end of Santiago.

Internet access was intermittant, but the owner warned us of this when we arrived, due to Tarrafal being, literally, at the end of the line.

Owner was very welcoming and helpful, and the staff were friendly, obliging and efficient. We were upgraded to a larger suite just because one was available, including a one-time complimentary minibar.

The twin bedded room was comparatively small for two adults. It’s probably more suited to children.

A great location within easy reach of restaurants, shops, beach. Irene ensured that we had all we needed and made good suggestions for places to eat/avoid and helped us organise a trip to Malagueta. We’d recommend a hike there! The breakfast was varied and always good served by very helpful staff.

That "Booking.Com" screwed up the room specification.

Nice little B&B, very good breakfast, friendly and supportive people, excellent rooms, good location ... but don't count on the "terrace with garden view" they are offering. I booked it and didn't get it. The manager blamed Booking.Com for the faulty description of the room.

Good quiet location in Tarrafal, close to the town centre and beach. The best breakfast in Cape Verde - buffet style on pleasant roof terrace. Room was not large but comfortable. Helpful staff with lots of information.

- The location of our room on the side of the property was such that you could often hear loud gusts of wind. - The bathroom was compact in The Countess room. - Our balcony looked out on to a bit of a building site. Can't be helped as a lot of the area is undergoing construction. We could angle our seats to look at the mountains though.

- A really homely feel - Accommodating and friendly staff. They were happy to hear up some vegan foods we brought for breakfast. The B&B provided plant based milk.. - Lots of toiletries provided in the premium room - Good location in Taraffal. - Parking available. - The terrace is pretty with beautiful views when you take breakfast.
