The room door has some panes of frosted glass and doesn't provide a feeling of total privacy.

Stayed here a night and very happy with the choice. The room was clean and cozy and the best thing of course was the balcony facing the ocean...heaven! I sat out there quite a bit, what a view, especially for sunset. A very nice gentleman runs the place and speaks excellent English. Breakfast provided but I left really early so he gave me some coffee plus some hard-boiled eggs to take with me. You can order dinner there, I got a chicken dinner for 700 CVE and it was really good and big portions. The room did not have A/C but I really didn't need it, there is a fan provided and things cool down nicely at night. Great choice and a great value...thank you!

A wonderful and relaxing place. Great views of the ocean and Brava island from all 3 rooms. Very quiet, I slept with the balcony door open. Good breakfast. The host Albino went above and beyond helping me arrange a rental car and even serving me an impromptu free farewell lunch.

Due to the proximity to nature bugs tend to find their way into the home, there is also no AC. Otherwise we loved the stay!

Stayed twice so copying my previous review: Maybe my favourite stay in Cape Verde. Everything was clean and my room was spacious and comfy, and even had a balcony. As far as I could tell all three rooms overlook the sea, looking towards the island of Brava where the sun sets. Stunning views. Easy walk into the centre of town. Albino was so accommodating - helped me arrange various trips / transport, let me do some very basic cooking in the kitchen, you can help yourself to beers, water etc for a good price, breakfast is nice too. Just a warning that when I was there it's not in the exact same location as Google maps shows it - fortunately some guys gave me directions, and Albino actually spotted me walking from his truck, and gave me a lift to the right place!

It was very hot, but that's just the same anywhere on Fogo near the sea, and there was a big, moveable fan in the room, which cooled us down. You have to walk quite a way to get down to the beach, as there are cliffs along alot of the coast. But its an opportunity to see some of the old parts of Sao Filipe, which is lovely

The host Albino was really friendly and helpful. We had the whole apartment to ourselves. The bed was comfortable and the room was big with a balcony. Great view out over the sea. Facilities were all there, if you wanted to cook. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The bathroom was not very clean. The bed was not comfortable and the room was not very clean. A taxi with Albino guesthouse sign waited for us at the airport, but we didn't ask for it, so we assume it was free, in reality we were charged 700CVE for 10min trip. It was a real rip off.
