NetherlandsIt might have been a bit of a language barrier, but on the first hike we were told we got a taxi driver that spoke English to talk about the area. But he didn't speak a word of English. We were also told that we could find some food along the hike. This was not the case. I am diabetic and was lucky I had enough sugar with me, otherwise it could have been dangerous.
We really enjoyed the hike offered by the staff, the breakfast, the kitchen, the pool and the bathtub.

Building and its decoration are outstanding and completely unexpected in the area. Food was really amazing and home’ made. Georgette was so welcoming and always trying to help. Great location with many hiking trails starts available either walking distance or with a taxi This place is really a gem !

United StatesWe loved the location, as we were able to do two excellent hikes. (One from the hotel, Boca de Figueiral to Cha de Padre Cima, which we highly recommend. We also hiked to the crater. ) The restaurant was wonderful, we enjoyed the. vegan offerings on several nights. Breakfast was ample and delicious. The staff were exceptional, answering every question and assisting with any requests. We highly recommend this hotel.

CanadaThe rooms don’t protect sound, and it was a bit loud in the evening with people chatting so was hard to sleep as I went to bed early. But it wasn’t terrible.
Every detail was thought out. Perfect stay for hiking and relaxing by the pool after. The food was really good, and staff friendly. It really was the best hotel I stayed in Cape Verde. Water is a slim resource in the area and I had the best hot shower, it was excellent.

This is probably the best hotel on the island of Santo Antao. The whole thing makes you feel like you're in a castle. The owner is very helpful, she takes care of every detail of your stay. Although my room wasn't perfect I got a better room for the same price - for which I am very grateful. From the hotel you have an ideal point for mountain hiking to any place. Breakfasts are very tasty, everyone will find something for themselves. Erick was very helpful and always smiling during meals. This is an amazing place and an amazing island. Obrigado!

United KingdomWe were told there would be different restaurant menus inside and out, but that turned out not to be the case which was a shame. The pool is quite cold because it’s in a shady courtyard.
Absolutely gorgeous new hotel - everything finished to a high standard and feels really luxurious. Presidential suite is perhaps the most beautiful hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. Local liquors provided in the room is a nice touch.

Norwaythe room could have some hangers on the walls for the towels and would be nice if shower would have had doors. and a table the room would been very nice, instead of that we had another extra bed. the restaurant at the hotel do not have many options for vegetarians.

PortugalWhen I arrived, there was a problem with my reservation, booking confirmation was aircon suite, they asked first € 12 euros/ night for aircon, later at checkout charged €15/night. Immediately I sent message to booking customer service, that promised feedback in less than 24 hours , 3 days later booking not answering. Not nice I never see before….€ 15/ night for aircon It’s an abuse I wrote in book of claim of the hotel But my problem is with booking where I booked this hotel room Booking.com must to explain why this happened, because my confirmation doesn’t mention this at all.
