The location of Fogo Boutique Hotel is spectacular. Right on the edge of the cliff overlooking the Atlantic. Just awesome. The swimming pool is edge-side as well. Perfection. Lounging around, reading, swimming, drinking beers. I stepped out our room five paces and played guitar with my legs dangling, lush greenery all around, overlooking the Magnificent Atlantic. Surreal. The photos we got are out of this world.

At first, we were a bit hesitant due to a few very harsh negative reviews, despite the majority being positive. That's why we wanted to share our own experience. We stayed in the Sal Room, the most affordable option at the hotel, and for €90, everything was perfect. The view alone was worth the price, not to mention the warm and genuinely welcoming staff, who seemed even happier to host us than we were to be there. Fogo Boutique Hotel is a small oasis on the island. While there are some limitations, it is undoubtedly the best option in the region. We will definitely be back!

A wonderful oasis on top of the cliffs of Sao Filipe with a stunning view of Brava island. The crew headed by Pamela is friendly and nice and Pamela is the soul of the place supporting every request from arranging trips to recommending visits. Tony complements Pamela’s skills in the kitchen and the food is excellent. We very much enjoyed the four nights at this small boutique hotel.

Just the green pool, which was a bit green, but is understandable since it’s outdoors and it was the rainy season, "The stunning view of the ocean and the island makes up for everything, a true treasure."

I only had one issue which was that I got stuck outside after going around the city during the day. I had to call for them to open the door.

The hotel is really beautiful with a nice pool and really nice rooms all named after the cap verdian islands. My room had view on the pool and the ocean. Unfortunately the sun rose the opposite side but the view is still nice. The breakfast was ok, nothing special. I had for my last lunch the filet mignon with lobster which was super good. The staff was nice and helpful. They ordered my taxi for the harbor and was responsive for questions.
