It was not clear to me that it would be a room in a shared apartment!!! There was another guest in another room and he was surprised too. This is not a suite, it is a bedroom in a shared apartment! Plus, our bathroom was outside of our bedroom...

The view! Clean big place, nice balcony. Bett was comfortable. For information, the woman only spoke Creole, which was not a big problem for us but it can get difficult if you have questions.

Difficult to find the apartment. Owner not on site although we did speak to briefly by phone. The cleaning lady who was briefly on site, was unable to speak any English. She was unable to answer questions as she showed us round. We stayed for 2 separate nights. On the first night there was no TV remote control. On the second night (one week later) there was a TV remote control. However there was no signal and no channels at all were available. I checked for a loose connection but all were fine. There is a help sheet which gives the owners telephone number with the proviso that it should only be used for emergencies. This makes you feel it shouldn't be used for mundane questions. The sheet stated breakfast was available, but we never saw anyone to ask about this. There is a kitchen, with fridge etc. which can be used but it is full of someone's groceries. Maybe someone lives in one of the rooms on a regular basis? If I sound a little confused. I was!!

I did not like, that I could not pay with the credit card, even though there is a huge sign (once you enter the apartment) stating that it is possible to pay with either VIsa or MC. Also I was supposed to pay in USD, but she charged us in Euro, which was a bit more expensive then the stated price during the booking on the website.

The host (hostess) upgraded us to the bigger room, since we were the only one staying at the apartment at the time. The hostess is living in one of the 3 available rooms in the apartment. There is a huge living room with exit to small balcony with nice view to the beach and the round-about straight below. We only stayed for one night, so I can't say is it loud during the working days. It seems one of the newer buildings in Mindelo. The apartment looked clean; and the bed was very big.

We were surprised, that it was more like an Airbnb - a room in an apartment with the Bathroom across the hallway but as we were alone it was no problem. As there was no staff we had nobody to ask after we had been let in. Unfortunately we forgot a telephone in the apartment and had to wait for two hours to get back in. The owner was very helpful and offered to bring the phone to Santo Antao, but we preferred to take the afternoon Ferry as all the information for the further stay was on it.

A very nice couple picked us up from the Airport and let us in. The apartment has an unbelieveable view over the beach and Santo Antao.

No reception and difficult to find the entrance as it was not clearly marked.

Nicely located just outside Mindelo but quite close to the container port. Nice beach just opposite with a beach cafe (Kalimba)

It would have been helpful if card payments were accepted.

The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and the host was very helpful by giving information on local attractions and arranging transport to/from the airport.

The bathroom was outside the room, but we understood why: it is because it is a normal appartment. The shower was quite difficult to get in and out of.

The view is great, the room was very nice and comfortable. The beach is like 2 minutes walking from.the hotel. The port is close, 10 minutes walking for those who want to take the ferry to Sant'Antao.

I reserved the room also for another day , but the day before no telephone contact possible and when I arrived at the location from Santo Antao at 17.20 hr nobody opened the door and I had to look for another hotel. So variation in arrival time because of changes in boat schedules gives risks!

Noise from beach party until 5am

Clean friendly good room. Access to balcony overlooking beach. It’s not entirely clear from description that it is an apartment with two rooms. The bathroom to our room was across a corridor. This all worked out fine. Both rooms share access to a lounge and balcony and we were invited to use the kitchen to make tea/ coffee.

Misleading facilities (No ac unless you request it and pay an extra fee) (No usable bath) We got the room that was advertised as a room with a spa bath. But the water stop was hidden due to water shortage on the island. The room has AC, but you are only allowed to use it upon request and for an extra fee. This is unacceptable.

Nothing really.

It's the place to be when in Mindelo. The location is perfect just on Mindelo's stunning clean, turquoise water beach and with a breathtaking view on that same beach over the sea from the high rise balcony with the sun just setting in front of you. The apartment is generously sized and has all amenities needed with comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and the cleaning lady can wash your clothes. But most importantly, Georgette and her daughter Claudia and her husband were absolutely magnificent hosts taking me to concerts, a festival, a football game and giving me plenty of useful contacts and recommendations. Of course the latter can't be taken for granted as they are not always around and may not have the time but I was lucky to enjoy their most wonderful Cape Verdean hospitality.

I liked everything except the ruf towels and a broken bathroom handle that got me looked in the bathroom for over an hour, waiting for one of the staff to come over and release me.

This place doesn't look like a hotel. It's a big building where there are people living inside. No hotel sign in front of. No reception. Someone was called to open our room but she didn't speak English. We didn't understand if we had a shared bathroom or not (it was outside our bedroom)

We had a minor water leak in the bathroom. I reported it through booking.com and received a phone call from Claudia, Georgette's daughter, in a timely manner. She quickly addressed the situation and apologized for the inconvenience. The next morning she showed up and was kind enough to offer us to transfer to the master bedroom with a bathroom.

Georgette's place is very clean and comfortable and the location couldn't be better with a beautiful view of Laginha Beach and within walking distance from the port, restaurants and other main attractions.

Not "Morabeza" at all. We had to wait for half an hour in front of the house until somebody opend the door. And this at night. OK, we were 15' early. The room was not ready and obviously there was no Intention to get everything done. Therefore we decided to go to an other hotel.
