We choose this property just for one night to get a ferry to santo Antão. It’s close to the port and we walked there in the morning. Sonia is very welcoming and kind, the access to the property was easy even if we arrived late at night. In the morning we also left soon and Sonia prepared for us a take away breakfast! The room was big and clean.

The shower area was always full of water even when we did not use it. There seems to be a pipe problem of some kind in the bathroom. Not seeing the water on the floor I slipped and almost fell. The bidet was also closed and out of function.

Quick check-in, friendly owner. The room was very spatious, with seating besides the bed, and a nice balcony (pity the wind was too strong to enjoy it). It is close to many things, but there are also many buses passing by all the time for going further. There is a bakery and an extremely cheap good food restaurant (Bar Atlantic) across the road. There is also a mini market that has most things. The ferry port is 20 minutes on foot, as is the beach (beach practically unusable due to wind, but incredible light and colors). Good wifi in the house. There is a common kitchen.

Anselmo and Sónia were very warm and kind hosts who did their best to make me feel comfortable in their guesthouse. The property was clean and within a good walking distance from the beach.

Perfect location close to the beach. Very good value for the money. Good communication in the booking process. Totally clean room, bed and bathroom. Available kitchen for making tea/coffee. A very nice breakfast was served to the room.

The only downside was the fact that the curtains are not thick enough so in the morning it gets too much light.

It’s really close to the beach and located in the quiet neighbourhood. Maybe 15 mins walking from the city centre, and there is a bus stop right in front of the house. We were able to sleep uninterrupted during the night, but with the windows closed because it was not that hot. I can’t say how is the situation when one needs to have windows open. Also the owners are super nice, friendly and helpful. They let us leave the luggage earlier than the check in, and kept them for us after the check out as our ferry was leaving later, arranged the taxi and were generally kind. The room was very clean and the bed is comfortable.

The shower was cold on the second day (first day it was warm) and there was nog enough lighting in the bathroom. Host is kind, but does only speak Portugese, so hard to communicate.

Our bedroom was quite dark with a window that was closed because it was on the basement and people could see us. We missed some fruit or coffee in the morning even there’s no breakfast available.

The owner is so nice and she is always kindly to help. We could do the check-out after twelve and have a shower with any problem. It has a fan and the bedroom is okay. There’s a bakery nearby and the beach is less than 5’ walk.

This is no fault of the guest house but the entire area around the port is not really for tourists... it's more of a working industrial port, and you will get hassled by hustlers and beggars. Best just to use it as a jumping off point for Sao Antao. That said some people like the area.

Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Room was nice and clean. Close to the port if you are intending to go on to Sao Antao. The port is walkable but to avoid getting hassled by beggars take one of the little buses that depart just across the road from the hotel. The bistro and the bakery, both directly opposite are really cool.

We asked to order the taxi to reach the Harbor. It was very early and the taxi did not arrived so we almost miss the ferry.
