Internet might be a bit slow in the bedroom. But it is a huge apartment and was okay enough.

Frequent bangs of loosen doors or window in the wind from the apartment above, but it was out of control of the owner.

Extremely clean, perfectly equipped apartment by all details needed to comfortable stay. Very helpful Mrs. Vanda, flexible check-out. We were very satisfied with the stay.

From the elevator dates, the house appears to have been built in 2007, and showed some signs of not being maintained a whole lot after that. This was also the case for the apartment, but nothing disturbing as a guest however as an owner we might have taken care of some things differently (loose hatches, etc). Also a bit inconvenient to get rid of the trash, if it was necessary e.g. after having bought fish at the market and prepared in the apartment, but that too was fixed according to Vandas immediate respons and instructions. Water is sometimes not coming when opening the taps, but don't panic as it will come back within a few secs ;-) Regardless, the things mentioned are details and didn't impact our generally great impression of the stay.

Our hostess, Vanda, was available on WhatsApp and simply a star from beginning to end. Arranged for pickup at the airport, with an excellent guide Leo who provided lots of useful and interesting information on the way to the apartment. The apartment itself was clean and according to expectations. Toiletries, as well as some remedies for dishes and loundry, was there, together with bottles of welcoming Coke, juice and water. One of the aircons didn't work upon arrival, but was fixed as soon as conditions allowed, and the owners offered a generous compensation in the form of a nice dinner for two for the inconvenience. Never any problems, and Vanda gave us so much valuable information and insights regarding the island with surroundings as well as society in general. The location is perfect, as it is right on the Laginha beach, which is the only beach suitable for bathing in Mindelo city. Also very close to the city center and ferries to Santo Antao, like 6/7 minutes walk. Mini markets available within 5 minutes walk for most necessities. There were good beach towels in the apartment, as well as a washing machine and good drying facilities. Checking out was smooth, and the total amount as stated in CVE on Booking.com was paid on departure without any hassle or unexpected extras.

Perfect stay on Best área possible in Mindelo. You are next to the best beach in town and at same time steps away from city center and ferrys station. Host was great. Nice hospitality and communication. They help us to everything

Wifi is not strong enough for working remotely with zoom but it was not a problem as we were on holidays.

We stayed for 10 days in this apartment and it was really great! The apartment is sparkle clean, spacious and super comfortable. Kitchen is equipped for all what you need and more, TV and Netflix works perfectly. The location is perfect just in front of Laginha beach. We stayed 3 years ago in the apartment and we will stay again there in the future.

Nothing, except access problem.

Position and apartment excellent. A bit of a problem when we arrived. We had told them when we were arriving by ferry and exactly what time we would arrive. We were told somone would be waiting and it was not a problem that we could not text. When we arrived there was noone around and I had to hunt around the complex to find Vanda. No apology! When comparing accomodation double check headline price. Some like this one add on a lot in tax and sevice charges.

It was already our second stay at Suite Mariposa, and it was as great as the first time! We were there over New Year's this time, and over Carnaval the previous time - both with great celebration in the town center, which is just a 10min walk away. You can enjoy the celebration and go home to tranquility any time - the apartment is located such that it doesn't receive all the noise of the festivities. Not to mention that it is very conveniently located next to Laginha Beach and a restaurant just downstairs from the apartment. The apartment itself is very well equipped for hosting families with kids and with friends - large kitchen and living room to enjoy time together. Last but not least, Vanda, Andrea and Cristina are a great team of hosts! Communication was very smooth, over the platform and over WhatsApp. We very much RECOMMEND it!! We like it so much that we will be back for sure!! :)

One thing I disliked was the fact there is no AC in one of the rooms , which makes it hot especially summer time. That’s one thing y’all should think about putting there. Also, a Tv in the suite would be great.

I love the apartment , the fact there’s an elevator. I think the only thing they need in that building is a pool or a jacuzzi hehe
