Everything was great.

Excellent location walking distance to great restaurants and to center of town. Beautiful hotel, very quiet, excellent beaches - not crowded, plenty of shade. Can snorkel right at hotel. Amazing breakfast buffet and decent lunch and dinner restaurants. Nice gym.

We liked almost everything. Maybe 2 minor things: - airco was a bit loud - there was a surcharge for the children staying in our room. Would have been good to be transparent on that in the communication

We always stay at Ávila Beach because it is comfortable, with a private beach, comfortable and large rooms. There is no need to leave the hotel!!

We had a misunderstood at the check in process but finally, it was positively resolved by the hotel manager.

It was my first time as a guest at this place and I really enjoyed it! The beach was really nice and convenient, there are too many restaurants in a walking distance.

If you spend the day in the hotel, I missed more snack options in the bar like a simple toasted ham and cheese sandwich.

The hotel is very nice with beach, swimming pool, gym, restaurant and everything else to spend the whole day. The room was pretty new and the location is also good to go to the city center or to the other restaurants nearby in the evening.

Loud guests who don’t know how to behave…. Taking their drinks in glasses and bottles into the ocean and acting like in a cheap party location.

I would have liked to have better gluten free options, as well as a more lively scene at night.

I loved how it did not ever feel crowded on the beach at any time; there was ample space for everyone. I loved how there were 2 beaches to choose from, both private. For example, if you stay in the Mambo beach area, it is very crowded. If you go to Aruba and stay in the Palm Beach area, you will have people who are not paying to stay at your hotel walking through your facilities, beach, and pool area, even using your bar and restaurants you are paying for. Avila is nice because it felt like it was truly our home away from home. The bar tenders, specifically Jose, were very kind. Sheldon was also attentive. Jesus was not the friendliest though.

The resort was absolutely stunning and the room was like coming out of a dream! Very comfy beds and bathroom had nice products from Rituals, my favorite brand!! The staff was really kind and helpful! The two private beaches were beautiful. Good to do snorkeling. The pool was great too! But I missed having a bathroom to take a shower after the beach. I hope to come back again 🇨🇼❤️

Room cleaning didn’t happen twice until we went to reception to ask and each time it was already 5pm.

Amazing private beach with a healthy reef full of an amazing variety of fish. Absolutely fantastic!!! Dinner at the Pen restaurant was also very nice. We liked to Saturday bbq night, great meat and prawns.

The only thing is that the staff put the Airco at 19 degrees when they cleaned room, but that is way too cold. You will never get used to the local weather like that

I liked everything about the property. Since I was there last year also it felt very familiar. Lovely beaches, good ammenities, great shower, good beds. Awesome private beach right in front of you.

As of November 2024, they were remodeling the breakfast area. Personally, we were not inconvenienced by noise or by lack of facilities.

Beautiful hotel in a historic setting. Breakfast was delicious and really good value for money compared to breakfast out in town. The Avila beach itself is gorgeous, they have their own coral nursery. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Could have used more ice machines and places to get ice, especially when the one broke. We were put off by smokers, especially on the beach and just throwing their used cigarettes on the sand. So bad for the ocean!

Extremely helpful, friendly and professional staff - everywhere: front desk, cleaning and maintenance staff, food service, and waitress/waiters. Wonderful! Great people! The closeness to two lovely beaches. The availability to sunscreen and bug spray. Appreciate the shuttle downtown. Appreciate the recycling bins and hotel's work for the environment.

The friendliest place I have ever been! We had a large family group all stay as a part of a 50th birthday celebration. It was great for all the kids ages 6 to 14. It was excellent for our purpose. I will absolutely book again with them.

The only thing that could have made it more convenient would have been if the room had a microwave but we knew there wasn't one when we booked.

We had booked a Preferred Room in the Octagon wing. Prior to arrival I had asked for a room on a higher floor with a nice view. Upon check-in we were upgraded to a Deluxe Room in the Octagon wing. Room 316 was a corner room with a nice sea/pool and courtyard view. The room was spotless and very large. Room had a decent size fridge, a nice coffee machine and a kettle. Coffee was replenished daily. Dishes were also provided. Nice ice machine in the building to refill our water bottles. We ate at the Blues Restaurant on our first night- excellent burger! We had the buffet breakfast on one occasion (25 USD pp) and everything we had was very fresh and good. Good coffee/juices/mimosas included. We enjoyed the beach further away from the pool since it was quieter and less crammed. We never had an issue getting a hut for shade. Beach and grounds of the hotel are all very well kept and clean. All our interactions with staff were positive and many would say to us : welcome home! A short walking distance from the hotel (probably less than 200m) there are many nice restaurant options. Walking to Punda is also only about 15mins and safe. We rented a car for 3 days and parking at the hotel was free and never an issue. Check out is noon but they do keep your luggage and allow you to reserve a time in a shower room to freshen up before heading to the airport.
