Reviews of Boca Simon Vacation Curacao 3 stars

Our stay at Boca Simon in Curaçao was an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE and the WORST hotel experience of my life. The owner’s behavior was AGGRESSIVE, HOSTILE, and COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. He constantly harassed us with threats and intimidation. Some examples of what he wrote: • “The AC was on 17 and door and window open. That is 100% forbidden. The damage can be $1,000.” • “I will control that every hour of the day.” → A direct admission of STALKING and HARASSMENT. He even ENTERED OUR ROOM WITHOUT PERMISSION, a serious VIOLATION OF PRIVACY and ILLEGAL. He also pressured us to sign his “house rules” or leave the property! As if this was not enough, the overall stay was unbearable for other reasons: • ALL NIGHT LONG the dogs from the neighborhood bark very loudly, making it IMPOSSIBLE to sleep and waking us up several times. • Towels are NOT changed regularly, leaving guests without basic hygiene service. • Common areas, like the terrace tables, were NEVER cleaned during our entire week – a clear sign of poor hygiene and lack of management. Instead of enjoying a holiday, we were subjected to FEAR, STRESS, and constant disturbance. My girlfriend was TERRIFIED by the owner’s obsessive behavior, and we both felt unsafe, disrespected, and harassed. This property is UNSAFE, DIRTY, and TOXIC. It should NOT be available on Booking.com or any other platform. I STRONGLY URGE future travelers: AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS – unless you want your holiday RUINED by harassment, barking dogs, dirty facilities, and violation of your privacy.

Size of the room Location Manager was very friendly and helpful I would definitely stay there again

Some part of the roof was very low so if you are tall gotta watch out

Rooftops, parking lots, kitchen and pool

No toilet downstairs and we had a really bad experience with the owner Magdy. We wanted to book an external tour with him, we had no cash. He told us we could pay the cash deposit by Sunday and on Saturday he suddenly wanted it and he told us if we don't pay by Saturday night he will cancel the tour. He got really rude. We went to the ATM and saw there was a fee, so we decided to book directly with the tour agency (where we could pay online). He then threatened us, that he has the power to put us on the street. The proximity to shops, restaurants and beaches, the kitchen is enough for everyone, I liked it and I recommend it. Thanks

Lovely place. Probably one of the cheapest one I could find in a good central location. And still not that cheap haha. But worth. It’s a hotel with a hostel vibes. Very lovely.

Good location between Willemstad and Mambo beach and close to a well done stocked market Nice studio with kitchenette for those who like to cook for themselves Great double pool area for relaxing after a day of sightseeing Very friendly staff who try to accommodate any requests...will definitely be back soon!!!

cleanliness of the kitchen and dishes. hot water went out nd was not fixed even though they kept saying it will be a few hours. the wifi was in and out at best, did not work in the room for most of the stay

It was a good place to stay in the middle walk form Mambo beach and center!

The only sad thing it was that behind my room is a house where they had so many dogs in poor conditions.. me as a pet lover it was awful to hear every day and night those little ones suffering.. I talked to the owner and they are taking care about the situation but sadly enough not any change..

The Pool

The properry was super good. They cleaned the room every day. The staff was very nice.

It was exactly as expected, a nice stay. Comfortabel rooms with kitchen and everything you need. The room service was excellent. A special thanks to them. The location was perfect in the middle between Willemstad center and the beach.

The bathroom was tiny.

Every thing was ok .was a lill desapointed cause i did not get the room i expect to receive.was expecting a room second floor with view as what i booked but did get an different room .but the one i receive was ok afterall but not what i really expect.

They have a beautiful peaceful terrace with the ocean view on the second floor. We loved to have breakfast there. If you are planning to explore the island, it’s a good affordable option to sleep.

It’s a bit outdated, especially the shower.

We loved the warm welcome by Ilona, and our apartment was very comfortable. The whole complex was much to our liking, with lovely outdoor spaces, two nice little pools, and a great room with a palm thatched roof with lots of space. It was close to super lovely Mambo Beach and everything else we wanted to see was easy to get to.

We would have preferred more ceramic or porcelain plates, cups, and bowls in our apartment, as the plastic ones there were not suitable for use in the microwave.

I liked the pool, the kitchenette, the helpfulness of most of the staff.

The young black woman who I first met did not conduct herself in a professional manner. She gave me the wrong amount owed to the hotel but later changed her mind as to the amount left on the invoice. I was promised a security box to place my documents in but never received one. The promise was made by Maddy.

Great location and price. The owner did upgrade the room, which made a huge difference. Refrigerator in the room. Good a/c

The shared kitchen, and no coffee maker upstairs. There was one but it was broken, so I had to run down to the kitchen and brew a pot each morning.
