How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewStayed for a few days for a friends wedding and was great while travelling solo. Kosta communicated well and no issues. You will need to drive or be happy to walk to stay here as is a little detached from everything but knew this prior to booking so no issues.

Verified reviewThe room was okay and it’s a good value for the money
It is a bit far from where a guest can easily catch 🚎 buses and also, it’s full of cats 🐈⬛ for someone who doesn’t like cat 🐈⬛ that much it could be worrisome.

Verified reviewI liked everything very much. Convenient location relative to the historical center and the bus station "Karavella" (15 min), the sea (20 minutes). Ideally quiet and calm area - in the morning the roosters call. Good air and greenery. I slept well and peacefully. My room had a wonderful view of the sea. The responsive and friendly owner - helped with the transfer to the airport and agreed on a late checkout. Ideal kitchen - a good refrigerator, stove, microwave and a full set of dishes and pots. Wonderful washing machine in the yard with a convenient 15-minute cycle and the ability to dry clothes under a canopy.
Everything is fine, no complaints.

Verified reviewThe room and the whole house was beautiful, comfy and well maintained. I enjoyed breaskfasts on the balcony with complimentary coffee from host, a very sweet gesture. The beds are huge and comfortable, all the facilities worked fine. The internet speed is low, around 20mbps, but it's stable and every room has it's own wifi. I had no problem working online and doing calls.
It's situated a bif far from the centre and all places of interests, the beach is 20min away on foot. Will be more convenient to have a car.

Verified reviewPositive Aspects: One of the main advantages of this accommodation is its affordability. It is a good option for those looking for budget-friendly lodging during their trip. Additionally, the host was very thoughtful and welcoming. To celebrate our wedding anniversary, he prepared a small gift, which was a kind and heartwarming gesture. This shows a genuine effort to make guests feel special and appreciated. Negative Aspects: The biggest drawback of this accommodation is the complete lack of soundproofing. You can hear absolutely everything – noises from neighbors, creaking stairs – which made it difficult to rest. If you are a light sleeper, this could be a serious issue. Another inconvenience was the location of the bathroom. It was on the first floor, while our room was on the second, which meant constantly going up and down the stairs, especially inconvenient at night. Additionally, the room size did not match the listing description. It was stated to be 18 square meters, but in reality, it was significantly smaller, which made the space feel cramped.

Verified reviewShort bus (or taxi) journey to main attractions (coral bay, harbour) and a short walk (15/20 minutes) to the old town, closest bus stop and Lidl. The place was nice and clean so no issues with that. Host was very helpful and willing to help with suggestions for things to do and how to best go about booking.
Would have liked it to specify the private bathroom was not an en suite and perhaps for owner to either automatically provide information on where we could throw our bins once full in the room or for a cleaner to take them every so often as they got quite full after a week stay. However, both issues are minor so not too big an issue, just a suggestion!

Not the Inn's fault but that of my daughter who didn't research the location properly. I would definitely recommend to travellers suited to it.

The location it’s not the best if you don’t rent a car but we always managed with walking or with bolt taxi the distance.

Verified reviewIt was nice and quiet, if a little out of the way. I had rented a scooter which made this easier. Housemates were very pleasant. Enjoyed my stay and would recommend!
Its at the top of a hill and quite a walk away from the main centres. Definitely better for keen walkers or those renting cars or motorbikes.

Verified reviewKosta is a super host who was extremely helpful even before booking his room. We arrived very late at night from the airport and we could self check-in easily. The room is small and basic, but ok for us. The bathroom and shower are external and shared with another room, as well as the kitchen. Everything was perfect clean. The neighborhood is very quiet and convenient if you have a car. There are some super friendly cats roaming around: we loved petting them both days! ;)
I didn't know the bathroom and shower were shared with another room, I suppose I did't read well and it's my fault. Fortunately it was never a problem.
