How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

It didn’t have much Sun beds around the pool. Also the sun beds were in the soil.

Verified reviewLocation was great, staff were great, especially Marina, who was amazing at remembering you. Reception area was nice and clean though did still maintained the dark wood effect theme of the hotel.
Classed as 4* but the next 2 properties are also 4* and they were far more superior than ours- we had friends staying there. I would say 3*. Sun beds could do with a good clean, grass area, was very bare and unkept. Excellent for families and the pool, being small was always filled with children. We were a couple. Online photos very deceiving as focused on, what looked like refurbished rooms, and not that of the norm. Room fixtures, dark wood and bath / shower was ok. Breakfast was adequate, though as I am gluten intolerant, I was very limited, though they did provide me with bread. Poolside bar was reasonable. Our room wasn’t available for an extension and had to pay €50 until we left at 9pm, which I suppose wasn’t too bad. The hotel has loads of potential just needs some money invested.

Verified reviewIf you are able to ignore the fact that the hotel is crying for serious renovation, it was a fine experience. A plenty of amenities typical for a four-star hotel. Superb ala carte restaurant experience.
Breakfast was rather monotonous and could be improved in quality and variety. Advice for the hotel management: please renovate the hotel and it will be a five-star experience. Currently, the quality is drastically dropping. Pay attention to the details as many thing are either broken or in a bad condition.

Verified reviewthe room was nice the location was great and the pool was ok. (but the water was warm so did not really help on a hot day)
I accidentally booked an extra day through booking.com - so i tried to fix that and booking.com said that the Aquamare declined it. The lady at the front desk told me they did not even receive a request to change the dates. So we spent about 2 hours trying to figure it out because i was told that it was no problem and the hotel would not charge me for the last night. Hotel staff was unable to resolve the issue and I had a baby with me that needed to to get into the room to sleep. We could not spend any more time going back and forth with the booking.com and the hotel staff so I was forced pay for an extra night and was NOT reimbursed. This should not have been an issue, especially since I requested to change the dates multiple days before we arrived.

Verified reviewWe went all inclusive and it was excellent. My grandson is allergic to sesame and the chef and restaurant manager also paid special attention to him. Outstanding service. The staff were also very friendly and the rooms were spotless.
The only thing I can fault is there wasn't entertainment for the children and the evening entertainment wasn't very exciting

Verified reviewThere was nothing outstanding about the hotel. Generally we were satisfied with most things
The hotel was isolated however the local bus service was good. The food was of good quality and we complimented one of the chefs however it was presented warm at best and not hot at all. The swimming pool area was very grubby and the poolside furniture definitely needs to be renewed. We paid for a superior room. It fell below expectations and was very basic compared to other Cypriot hotels we have stayed in.

Verified reviewStuff was welcoming especially Marina.Breakfast was amazing.l
Rooms were ok but the furniture were scratched and bit old. While the lobby was luxurious the rooms looked poor compared to them. Also the second day of our holiday they didn't clean our room and someone had turned the label to not disturb. Odd really.

Verified review1. Friendly, helpful staff. 2. One of the all-inclusive dinners could be swapped with dinner at the italian restaurant on site, so we had a lovely evening with live violin. 3. Buffet food was generally good, although a little repetitive.
1. All inclusive was NOT all inclusive. 2. It was confusing and unclear what was or wasn't included. 3. Bar service was slow, and most orders were wrong. 4. On-site parking was insufficient and inconvenient.

Verified reviewLarge room. It was worth paying for a Seaview room. Decent pool. Short walk to the restaurant district.
Not as new or glamorous as the neighbouring properties but we didn’t care.

Verified reviewVery dated rooms, rude staff at the pool bar and overcrowded swimming pool. Lovely location though!
Staff could have made an effort to be more polite, rooms need a serious renovation and swimming pool is too small and dated.
