Reviews of Chris House

Nicosia seems to be a very safe city - the keys were left for me wrapped in a piece of paper and stuck in the bars of the front door. :) The house is in the heart of the old city, on a typical narrow street with delapidated but picturesque historical houses. Chris house itself is clearly old - thick stone walls, very high ceilings to keep the air cool, carved wooden doors. It is in good repair and very clean. There is aircon and wi-fi. The kitchen is well equipped and the bed is comfortable. It is very quiet at night. The best part was the tiny back walled yard where I had breakfast in the relative cool of the morning. I really a lovely time.

I think the living room air con remote had dead batteries. I didn't mind, however, as I didn't need it.

Maria is very helpful, check in was very easily organized, and had all the necessary facilities. Very central and easy to reach from Solomos Square.

Location was good. The entrance door on the outside looked nice. And I guess the fact that we had the roof over our heads…

It was FREEZING COLD. There was a heater but it was a tiny little heater and 2 weak AC units and one was broken and when we turned it on it was making farting sounds every 20 seconds. We saw 2 cockroaches (baby ones so probably infested), one on the kitchen counter and one in the bathroom. The whole place needed deep cleaning and refreshment. There was mold on the walls and everything was used up. The bed was uncomfortable. The tools in the kitchen were also old and used up. The chairs were plastic and we couldn’t rest our backs cause they would break (one was already broken). Plus on second day the owner showed up unannounced and asked if everything is okay. When we said it’s really cold he just impolitely answered “you have a heater”…

It is a comfy apartment near the city centre with everything you need. Maria is very polite and gives helpful tips.

The house is a bit cold during winter due to high ceilings, but you can use heating and air-conditioning.

Everything was ok. The house is quite big, comfortable and clean. There is also everyrithing you can need. It is located in the old town inside of the city wall and it's also very close to the central bus station. Thank you for everything Maria!

Decent location, spacious, good facilities and a reasonable price.

Water pressure could be little better but it's no big deal

The house is so nice felt like a true cypriot staying there. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, but all the interesting parts or Nicosia are in walking distance. Airconditioning worked really well, was much needed in the hot weather. The hostess was so so nice, really made sure we felt comfortable and even got us a fresh bottle of water. Overal a great stay, would recommend and definetely go back!

The location is excellent, the house is charming, very well kept and accommodates 4 perfectly. We traveled with two small kids therefore needed to rent a car. Right next to that house there is an empty plot to park. We always found a place. Our host, María, is an exceptionally caring person. She was attentive and available for questions and offered help during our stay. This is a highly recommended place to stay in Nicosia!

We definitely loved the location, I think it’s the top feature. The appliances available were top notch too, we had pretty much everything needed. Maria was very kind and helped us out with any inquiry. The A/C in the room was great too.

If I had to mention something, the A/C in the living room was on and off everytime, although we didn’t spend much time at home, so it didn’t really affect our stay. Water pressure of the shower is a bit too low.
