How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The main road leading to the hotel is closed for construction so it was a bit harder to reach but nothing too inconvenient.

Verified reviewSadly we only stayed one night because of the proximity to the airport. We were given the warmest of welcomes by Mr Fitos even though we were very delayed. The staff we met were all charming, warm and helpful, especially the young lady who kept the bar open till midnight for us. We had the loveliest of rooms with a private terrace. Everything had been thought of and the room was spotlessly clean.

Verified reviewAs someone who travels frequently for both work and leisure, I’ve stayed in many hotels – but Fitos Inn is by far the most heartwarming and memorable one. From the very first moment I arrived at this family-run hotel, I was welcomed with delicious food and refreshing drinks practically at the door. My room was incredibly spacious, complete with a large private patio and sunbeds, offering total seclusion. The hotel’s restaurant is outstanding – their King prawns are the best I’ve ever had! I wholeheartedly recommend Fitos Inn to everyone, and if I ever return to Paphos, this will be the only place I stay.

Verified reviewVery friendly staff, we had to leave before the breakfast starts and they gave us to eat half an hour early. It's a good breakfast and we had a great, tasty dinner as well. The bed and the pillows are very comfy. Pool and everything around looks very nice, shame we were there just for 1 sleepover. Great facilities in the room - fridge, hairdryer...
The room, especially the bathroom is a bit outdated and there was spider web and dust on a few spots, so I would suggest a little bit better cleaning. The walls are quite thin (we heard every phone ringing from the reception as we were close by) but overall during the night is was really nice and quiet.

Our expectations were not met. The hotel is located in a very remote place, it is not easy to find it and it is impossible to get there without a car. It was very annoying that there is a small zoo near the hotel and there lives a peacock who at 4 am in the morning made heart-rending cries, this did not allow us to rest normally. The bathroom is uncomfortable and very old. It was impossible to wash in the shower because the water pressure was so weak. The breakfast was terrible, I have never seen such a meager breakfast in my life, a few slices of tomato and cucumber, two sliced muffins, juice, coffee and an omelet that was so overcooked and poured with oil that it was impossible to eat. I do not recommend visiting this hotel.
You came at night and left in the morning. You only chose us of our closeness to the airport and not to spend your holidays in our hotel, so the location was actually ideal for you. There is a covered/shaded bus stop in front of the hotel which you apparently did not see as you came late night. About the peacock not much we can do, this is nature. Bathrooms are very well maintained and water pressure may fall at 4am indeed but we have fixed that. About the breakfast we have investigated and saw from the cameras you having it and things are not as you describe. There was a full buffet with everything which somebody needs for breakfast freshly cooked from our garden. If omelet had too much oil you should have asked for a new one. If you scroll down to comments from 99% of our clients you will only read the best. Still not much we can do when an awkward having a bad day guest shows up. If you work with your expectations we are certain you will become a more happy person.

The hotel is a bit run-down, the rooms are old, as are the outdoor playgrounds... renovation is needed.
It's a shame you did not enjoy your stay with us, even if it was for just a night for being close to the airport. The hotel is certainly not run-down ! as we always renovate area by area. Also the rooms have been renovated last year with new beds, linen, wooden flooring.. etc. not sure as to what you have seen being run down.
