One of the reasons we chose this hotel was because of the outdoor swimming pool. Unfortunately it was closed the 3 days we were there due to maintenance on the water quality. This was very disappointing for us.

Smoking rooms should be separated from nonsmoking rooms. When windows are open, all the smoke and odours fron neighbours’ balconies with smokers entered the room

-Very unstable Wi-Fi — not suitable for calls or streaming - Air conditioning was hard to adjust, had to turn it off at night - Coffee at breakfast was not good - One staff member at check-out was quite unfriendly

The carpets on the corridors should be changed, they look old and have spots.

Great location, amazing hotel, it was like diving back into the history, excellent piano and solo vocal music, very well prepared food, professional and polite behaviour of the staff.

Restaurant food was not good. Cyprus grows the best potatoes in the world, to serve oven chips is awful. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel after the first night. There are great restaurants in the villages. The hotel is overdue a refurb, very frayed around the edges. Its almost as if it's just ticking over until someone breathes new life into it. Sadly at the weekends the hotel transforms from a peaceful, quiet sanctuary, to a place full of unruly children, completely allowed to run amok by parents more interested in their dinner/drinks. Avoid the weekends!!!

The staff absolutely make this hotel. Every single member of staff were great, approachable, friendly and willing to help.

The decor is a bit dated and needed a bit of TLC in places but it didn’t effect our stay.

It could be that now that tourism is not that high in that area, therefore some parts of the hotel lack maintenance.

The hotel is located in the middle of the mountains, so its quite and the air is clean. It can be seen that back on its golden days it was an exceptional place.

Breakfast fab ! Great variety ! Of course the hotel is ready for return but you will never beat the old world charm and faded grandeur of a by gone era . Staff attentive and Pano Platres like the garden of Eden !! Highly recommend and do visit before it closes for refurb in October !!

We appreciated the beauty of the property and felt nostalgic about the period. Beautiful nature…we came in spring, everything was green with flowers blooming and the birds were singing and busy. The property is large, sprawling and full of nature. Lovely breakfast.
