That is a beautiful place to stay away from crowdy seaside and retreat in mountains! Our room was comfortable and cosy, it was small, but everything we needed to escape for the weekend! Comfy bed, hot water, coffee machine and the most important - the garden view and a balcony! It was really nice just to sit there (or even to lay in a bed with the door opened) and to watch the trees and the river. The trail was passing right below our balcony, so we surely explored it and the village itself. Also, the breakfast was excellent! Right what we wanted, and with the same nice view. Thank you very much, we would definitely recommend to stay there!

Everything is just perfect.

The cute woody balconies face the river and the forest. The sound of the running water is the best melody of the night. Super nice cafe with home made sweets, nice coffee, bar for the night, and of course with very warm stuff and authentic Cypriot hospitality!

The cafe rents out rooms one level down. Small but cosy with a tiny balcony overlooking the river flowing by the house. Even with closed windows the murmur puts you to sleep! Eating breakfast the next morning you can sit along the upstairs balcony gazing into the trees while continuing to listen to the flow of water. You would not expect quiet Kakopetria to have more than a few restaurant options, so it is a much better choice than overdecorated Omodos or touristy Pano Platres if you want to get away for a few days in the mountains. And yes, EVERYONE ends up eating trout on the fabulous river terrace of the Mill Hotel.

Communication from the host was poor to non-existent, and we were not informed about how to get the included breakfast. The second day they told us breakfast would start only at 9:00, which is quite late for planning a day with activities. Breakfast itself was not bad, but way too basic. We were expecting some fresh orange juice and pastries from what we saw in the reviews, but for some reason they said they couldn't give it to us. The first day we didn't get vegetables but we got them on the second day. The feeling was that they just didn't care much. The wardrobe in the room was occupied with winter blanket, so there was no space to put clothes. The lamp near the bed didn't have a socket to plug it in.

I really loved the place!.. Especially the river is right below!Also we were surrounded by trees nice and shady!Which I loved..So at night if u sleep with your balcony door open you hear the lovely sound of the flowing river and crickets So peaceful..Very comfortable bed ,Small room but very clean, Great A/C( looked like a new unit) Loved the shower gel they provided..And the extra touches of 2 coffee capsules each and 2 decent size waters were left for us so glad the had a refrigerator..The only thing that could be considered for the future is a larger tv screen as it was quite small..Parking was a 5-6 walk away the town SQ was 7 -8 min walk away lovely walk to get the square...I was very impressed with the cafe/ bar above! It was a great set up! Breakfast was traditional and we thoroughly enjoyed it..Great coffee ! My son had freshly squeezed OJ ( they also had homemade desserts which we didn't try as we were so full from breakfast But there cheese cake -& cakes looked delicious...Staff was very welcoming ! I would definitely go back! I will also recommend this place to others! Thank you for your kindness , I really enjoy my stay!
