How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The elevator.The sensor system of the doors did not work properly. and almost hsd an accident.
Excellent location. Large apartment. Comfortable beds. Excellent water pressure system in the bathroom.

Didn't have any complaints.
This was a lovely place to stay. I had a studio apartment which was large and while simple, it was comfortable and adequate. The whole place was spotlessly clean and staff were friendly. Mariela is situated right beside a superb, well stocked supermarket. Excellent internet. The apartments are great value for money. Would recommend.

flying insects bothering anyone sitting by the pool. Mostly just an irritation, but resulted in a few nasty bites!

Facility in need of renovation, indeed there were some works in process. Furniture old and not all in a great shape. Bed with fleece blanket, not suitable for the season nor for a hotel facility.
The couple that manages the facility is very nice and kind. Breakfast (not included but at a good price) is good. Apartment spaces are nice.

It's a little bit far to walk to the beach, but we knew that when we booked it.
The location was really good for the restaurants in Polis and for a very handy supermarket. The apartment was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The owners were really friendly and welcoming. There's plenty of parking. The pool area was lovely and relaxing, as was the pool itself once you got used to the water temperature. I can see why many people come back year after year, and my husband has already booked to return.

Very simple accommodation on the main road. The AC was very loud and old. But it worked (I travelled in winter so I used it as heating). I only stayed one night. Not sure if I wanted to spend my whole holiday there for instance. But as a place from where you can discover the beautiful nature of the nearby Akama Peninsula, it was ideal. The owners (?) were extremely kind, gave me coffee and cookies in the morning :)

Quiet older Hotel Apartments with pool, clean large studio room with kitchenette, fridge, comfortable bed. Standard breakfast corresponding to the price. Good walking distance to the center ( but quite a bit further to the beach).

The rooms were kept very clean. It was very hoy when we were there, so it was good to have a room that was not in direct sunlight. A few more utensils in the kitchen would be nice.

A beautiful Apartment Hotel block managed by a Family. The Pool was amazing and the location too. Parking was not an issue. Will definitely go again!

It needed more cups to drink from.
The pool was delightfully cool and refreshing after a morning walking along the beach to Latsvi and the balcony had good views. The shower was hot and the bed was comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant.

Some of the room's facilities are looking a little tired
This is our third visit, which speaks for itself. The owner is always very pleasant and other guests always seem friendly.

No soundproof door, so a bit noisy in the morning (cleaning service, leaving people, etc.).
The owner welcame us offering a free beer and giving us the keys of our studio. The building and the studio are a bit old but well maintained. Nice view on the internal courtyard with the swimming pool and wonderful trees and plants. We didn't use the swimming pool but it seemed clean and tidy. Private parking on the back of the hotel (not covered and no shadow). The hotel is in the city center and just few meters far from a large supermarket. Overall, a lovely accommodation at a good price!
