How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It’s super clean and everything was just perfect and has all the facilities you will need starting from the kitchen equipment till the toilet supplies and the rooms are so comfy. Staff are friendly and the place is near to everything.

The location is in a very safe and beautiful neighborhood. Otherwise the place is a good 30 min walk from the Ledra street check point. But in general it was a perfect choice.
Very very clean hostel! The staff and owner helps you with everything, from places to visit to early check in or late check out. I could easily stay there again. The bed was ultra confortable.

20-30 mins walk to the city centre can be quite tough in cyprus summer.
the room and the bed was simply perfect. the toilet and showers were clean too. the staff henry was kind enough to offer me early check-in and an upgrade to the female dorm. really appreciate it!

Everything was clean. The staff was super friendly. Around 20 minutes walking to the city center, but very near to a bus station. Nice stay, for sure would come back.

It would be great if there can be a bathroom inside the dorm at some point in time.
Staff is very responsive before I arrived. Eric is calm and helpful. The price is extremely good. Bed and facilities are clean. They even have 1 EU-socket in the room for me, as I forgot to bring my electricity socket. Wifi is good in the room too. The locker is perfect for 1 big 20kg-suitcase. Location is about 1.5-2km walk to the center, which is ok if you like to walk.

Large, spacious bedroom and sitting room, large comfortable sofas in both. Balcony. Large, well-equipped kitchens (2!) Convenient, capacious lockers, locked with same key as the room.

No privacy curtain on bunk beds but not real issue because not facing each other
Only 4 to a room so ample space and comfortable beds with personal locker. Personal bed shelf with socket and light. Good kitchen and terrace area to eat and relax. Basement parking safe place for bicycle

The USB plugs at my bed didn’t work.
Great location, only 15min walk to the historic area. The terrace is beautiful for sunset & a great chill out areas. Kitchen is well equipped & the bathroom is clean & roomy

The fact that it’s not THAT-central. You have to walk like 20min at least, to get where everything important is. Also the check-in guy was not very friendly. Small toilets and not always running-water.
I liked that it was comfortable. I liked that the locker was actually a drawer beneath the beds 🛌 and it opens with the card which you will use to open the doors of the hostel. Thats genius and VERY practical. Great whoever thought of this! No keys, no pain!👌I also liked the big balcony.☺️

A perfect place in every way, offering great value for money. The private room is spacious and has everything you need. The staff is very friendly—really nice people—and there’s a bakery downstairs with excellent food. No doubt I’ll be coming back.

A fellow traveller brooched the subject, and the manager has already made enquiries with the fire and safety service about getting curtains around the beds. He seems to be happy to take suggestions on board. So I think that is the only thing I thought needed improvement
Very clean and comfortable stay. Perfectly situated for anyone wanting to cross into the North. Friendly, helpful owner and staff. Beautiful roof top terrace with a braai area.
