How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWe received a very warm welcome from Vaggelis who was on night duty at the reception. Having just turned up out of the blue after a delayed flight and being put in another unsatisfactory hotel, he couldn’t do enough to make us feel safe and comfortable. Special thanks also go to Anna on reception, Agathi who has the most beautiful smile and welcomes you as though you are visiting her home. Giannis, who suddenly had more guests to cater for but did it with a smile. Last but not least, thank you to Emilios who was making more beds up at 2:00 am after the influx from our coach who had also been put up in other accommodation that wasn’t a touch on how great this hotel was. Thank you all so much

Verified reviewThe room and the location have been fairly displayed and one gets what he expects.
The WIFI connection was very poor and the network was not secured, making it impossible to connect to my work servers.

Verified reviewThe staff were friendly but the lady at breakfast had a cough and proceeded to cough over the food. It was convenient for the town centre and Ledra Street.
The strange configuration of stairs that were like the Escher picture of the never ending staircases. It was very expensive for what you got. It said that there was parking but that was at a reduced parking rate in a public car park a few minutes walk away. The Castelli hotel next door was just as nice, if not nicer, had balconies to the rooms and its own private car park.

Verified reviewVery nice service. The room was not particularly new, but it was clean and good-looking. The breakfast had different options. The location is the best - walking distance to everything in the centre.
If you travel by a car, consider that the hotel doesn't have its own overnight parking. However, municipal (paid) parking is 4 min walking distance. The hotel offers a card to reduce the price for parking.

Everything was dirty starting from bed to toilet on arrival, lots of hair on bed toilet seat filthy. However it was cleaned again on request. Breakfast was very basic same stuffs every morning.

Verified reviewLikely location and room. But it’s not what you expect from a 4 star hotel. They didn’t respond in chat here, and not ready to help you. I come to Nicosia by bicycle from Larnaca, and ask in chat did they have a possibility to leave bike somewhere. When I come they suggest to leave it in street. On my suggestion to leave it inside luggage room or even in hotel room they reject. After 30 minutes of arguing they finally suggest to leave it inside of conference hall. And all other talks with people here appears to be in same way

Verified reviewGood location, good breakfast, comfortable bed
Noise from the street, a bit cramped hallway (interesting but not for people with disabilities or small children), bottle water only for first night
Dear Monika, thank you for your review, i would like to inform you that the bottle of water is complimentary for the guest with their checking in. Kind regards

Verified reviewEverything perfect. Great location in the old town. Breakfast super. Nice personnel. Just the walls too thick so you hear everything of other rooms. But still a very good hotel!

Verified reviewWe liked : Interactions with front desk managers - Ana mainly was invaluable for us as first-time visitors to Nicosia. She speaks fluent English (among many other languages) and is very knowledgeable about the city. Her Colleague (sorry, I can't give her Greek name) helped us with choices of restaurants. The hotel is very lucky to have a physiotherapist on call - Roberto has special education, training and experience. You need to schedule his massage session 2-3 days ahead of your stay in the hotel. We found the bed comfortable. The noise level inside the hotel is very low, but an open window gives lost of noise from the area. In the bathroom, On a little shelf, you find a surprise - toothbrush and toothpaste, together with a shaving kit! Big bottles of good quality soap, cream, and shampoo are attached to the walls. The restaurant/cafe is very good. The many is versatile and the chef is very responsive to your needs. Breakfast is typical for Mediterranean hotels (plus salted herring). The lunch menu has fish, meat and vegetarian dishes. The servers Dina and Agathi are taking care of all your needs during your meals. They are very attentive and genuinely kind. The location of the hotel is very convenient both for culture (concert hall next door), history (old churches, wall and museums in walking distance going to the right from the hotel) and shopping (if you go to the left from the door). Intercity bus station, and local buses are very close.
We didn't.t like: The furniture in our room didn't fit the 4stars hotel rating - stained and aged sofa, two ruff coffee tables.. The bathroom is recently upgraded, but the size and awkward triangle shape make it uncomfortable with has very limited space for your own toiletries. The hotel's description of its amenities shows the SPA. It was my second reason besides the location to book two nights here. In reality, the spa has a two-sit brand-new sauna which needs to be turned on at least 30 min before your visit. Nobody did it for my husband, so he has some waiting time. The so-called steambath is a small shower cabin with an awkward door - it's not easy to operate. The gym has some machines and a view of the street. No towels were offered. The only room fully fitted for the SPA service is the massage room - you need to schedule your sessions with Roberto, the physiotherapist several days ahead calling the front desk of the hotel.

Verified reviewThe breakfast choice is amazing! Lots of savory food like eggs, nuts, bread, bacon, ham, cheese, etc. as well as sweeter food like yogurt, fruit, cereal, croissant, etc. The staff are extremely nice and will do everything to help you. Live music at the bar on Saturday evening and good drinks.
Some of the carpet in the corridors is run-down and needs to be changed; the bathroom could use an update too.
