How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The mattress was very uncomfortable – you could feel every spring, which made it hard to get a good night’s sleep.
The hotel was fine overall, with a convenient location close to everything we needed

The pillows were so thin we barely slept the three nights

The mattress wasn’t very comfortable. It needs a softer top layer.
A good option for staying in Paphos. You can easily walk to the sea, shops, and nearby restaurants. The hotel also has a nice swimming pool and its own restaurant for lunch. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was good.

The room wasn't cleaned during our stay, but we did get clean towels and toilet roll.

Just the cleaner, im so sorry im just disappointed we are staying in the room and trying to relax they are trying to clean rooms the door are banging and so much very loud impact..They must need to know that there is other people that still there.

The hotel could’ve been cleaner and housekeeping staff could’ve been quieter while working in the mornings, but otherwise I have no complaints!
The staff was absolutely delightful and so accommodating. Don’t hesitate to ask any questions at all, they’ll be more than happy to help. The location was central to everything. Don’t skip the breakfast! You’ll be glad you went before a full day out.

Rooms are fine but pretty dated at this stage. But there's a certain charm in having a physical room door key, thats welded to the electrical power key to ensure you cant even charge a phone when out of the room! :)
Old school family run hotel with a certain stuck-in-the-past style. Lovely relaxing pool area surrounded by trees yet sunny almost all day if you prefer. Staff friendly.

Not much around hotel, some decor a bit old fashioned and not much interaction from staff.
For a cheap and brief stay for a weekend holiday was ideal. Not much in the area surrounding the hotel but lovely pool and decent rooms.

Nothing it was clean & had everything there a pool & restaurant if wanted.
The location was good you could find your hotel is it had a big sign Veronica Hotel you couldn’t miss. The staff were good & breakfast was included in the price. We decided to stay another night & it was easy to do the receptionist was, obliging.

-British breakfast was not good; my Son was food poisoned for 2 days. -The member of staff at the bar by the pool did not speak even speak basic Greek -price for the ice cream at 4 euros at the bar by the swimming pool. That was expensive -There was constantly water on the floor in the bathroom every time we had a shower. It was not us, seemed to be a leak somewhere. -The Russian lady at the reception was a bit bossy, her tone of the voice was not nice.
-breakfast was very good, apart from the British breakfast -swimming pool was excellent -The male waiter at the breakfast area was very good, helpful, kind and polite -The man at the reception was very helpful, understanding and friendly when we arrived very late -variety of choices at the bar by the pool
