Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyWalls and ceiling could use a new coat of paint. Bathtub instead of a shower (which is fine), but without a shower curtain or anything.
Easy check-in and out. Very spacious room and bathroom. Everything very neat and tidy. Large and tasty breakfast. I had a room towards the street, but it was still very quiet during the night. The concept of a hotel with reception hours only from 8-10 in the morning was weird at first, but everything worked really well. Also, super nice and helpful staff.

CanadaThis is not the hotel's fault, but I like using hotels where there is someone on site if not 24 hours, but at the very least when the check-in time opens. The hotel had a new keys in a box system with combination provided via e-mail the morning of with the key boxes before the front entrance. In theory this allows the guest to arrive outside of hotel check in hours which is great. However. I had the combination to the key box but because the boxes were so new and made out of plastic I could not get the box open. and I was genuinely afraid I was going to break the box that is how much force I was applying. In fact I had to give up because I simply could not believe that the box could only open with this much difficulty. I thought I was doing something wrong. Not a great feeling. This led to an unfortunate delayed check in situation. In fact I only met reception once during my entire stay and it was a good experience, but for the reason I just stated and many others I like to meet a human being upon entering a hotel. For this reason alone I would not stay here again and that's too bad because there are lots of things to like about this hotel and lots of reasons to stay at this hotel.
Breakfast choices were outstanding. Truly a great breakfast. Keep in mind that the breakfast staff's english is limited but if you keep the talk to just breakfast you will have no trouble. Try all the choices - you won't go wrong with any of them; Reception staff was great just limited in scope in person; Room a great size; bathroom a great size; windows that open; good closet space; 2 sofa's; 2 supermarkets within walking distance; quiet neighbourhood; good WiFi

Ireland- Bathtub does not have a shower curtain - No bedside table. I need my glasses if I get up in the middle of the night. A bedside table will have been most helpful. - Location of power outlet beside the bed is awkward. Particular if you need to use an adaptor. Perhaps more power outlets? - There is no 24-hour front desk reception. Can be awkward to arrange a different check-in/check-out time if the timing does not suit. Having said that the owner was very helpful and accommodating in my case. - Doable but a bit of a walk from bus station.
- Beautiful and spacious room - Wonderful breakfast - Accommodating owner - Clean and quiet

RomaniaIt was rather hot at arrival, so the room needed a bit of airflow before temperature went down to the comfort level. Not a big issue in September, when nights are cooler, though.
The house is located in a residential area, on a quiet street. Room was large and spotlessly clean, carefully arranged and themed to the smallest detail.

United KingdomThe bath and shower apparatus is a little quirky and can give the floor a good soaking.
This is a very special hotel, run by enthusiasts with a passion for stylish presentation, superb breakfasts and above all the friendliest of welcomes for their guests. Everything is met with a smile and nothing is too much trouble.

HungaryThe location is a little bit wierd, the hotel is not so new, and beds were too soft for us.
The breakfast was great even if it was a preordered one. You have to choose on the evening what you would like for next breakfast, but the food was delicious.

ItalyI did not like the bathroom in my room (room n.1), it is quite old, needs to be renovated but apart from this point, which I am sure they can take care of in the future, the hotel was great and comfy. It is 25 minutes walk from the city center, and 3-4 bus stops. I will reccomend it
Breakfast and staff was great. Even if for breakfast you don't have a buffet, a choice is provide the evening before and the food is prepared by a nice lady and it was really good, we really appreciated the care she had in preparing our breakfast more than having the large choice that huge hotels normally give you with large buffet (but with poor quality). The room I had was clean and renewed, comfortable. also vey large.

AustriaThe parking was very confusing. There is a cross painted on the parking space, which is universal for 'do not park', so I thought I should park one space to the right. My car was towed - no warning given and no message from the police as to where my car had disappeared to. My medication was in the car. It was all very stressful and expensive!! Be careful, all the instructions for parking are written in Czech on signposts. Best to take a photograph of where you have parked and show it to the staff in the hotel. It's perhaps best to travel by train and taxi. Taxis are cheap and friendly; it wouldn't even be 5€ from the train station.
The hotel was amazing value for money. It's actually not so far to the centre (10 to 15 minutes walk, straight along a road, so really easy). Such friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Clean and with excellent facilities.

United KingdomIt was a hot day when we stayed and unfortunately, the road outside was very noisy with the window open (but there was a fan in the room). As others have said, to have a shower you use the shower head in the bath and there's no shower curtain, so you have to be careful not to soak the bathroom.
Friendly staff. Tasty and big breakfast, with a very cheerful lady preparing it. Room was large and location was pretty good: not in the old town but not far away. Lots of thoughtful touches in the room, like board games and guide leaflets.

AustraliaThe Hotel is quite a distance from the railway station, so it is advisable to take public transport. Catch the Nos. 5, 10 or 53 bus (direction Rozhov or Naves) from the stop across from the station exit, four stops to Poliklinka Jih, then cross the road and you are on Malice Skojske street. Fares are only 20 CZK.
My room was large, exceptionally clean, with a kettle and a mini-bar. Breakfast was included, and was available from 7:30. The scrambled eggs were fantastic. All-round the staff were friendly and helpful, bringing coffee up to your room and accommodating requests for an early breakfast. The walk into town takes less than 10 minutes, but you can take the bus from the stop just around the corner.
