How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

They gave us a 25 m2 room with balcony instead of the deluxe 30 m2 room we ordered. There was no elevator to bring n luggage which was not mentioned. No access to WiFi instructions in room

Verified reviewOn the positive side, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable, so we had a good night’s sleep.
We stayed at this hotel and were shocked by the poor quality of the “breakfast package” included in our stay. What we got was a joke: a few sloppy sandwiches with cheese and salami, one apple, one spoon and fork, and a tiny amount of chopped vegetables — for two people! It honestly felt like something thrown together last minute with no care or thought. Totally unacceptable. We expected something simple and fresh — instead, we were left hungry and disappointed. Not recommended.

Verified reviewI made a reservation at this hotel on the morning of July 19th, with check-in scheduled for 14:00 the same day. I wanted to inquire whether early check-in would be possible, so I tried calling the hotel multiple times. Unfortunately, no one ever picked up the phone, and I received no return call. Due to the lack of response, I decided to cancel the reservation. Booking.com informed me that free cancellation would be possible if the hotel agreed. However, communicating with the hotel was extremely difficult — the staff had poor English skills, and the conversation was inefficient and frustrating. They kept insisting that their policy, as shown on the platform, stated that reservations are non-refundable once confirmed. I sent them a screenshot from the Booking.com interface clearly showing that free cancellation was an option, proving their claim was incorrect. Still, I was not treated like a valued guest. They repeatedly told me they would “discuss internally and get back to me,” but I never received any follow-up. I had to initiate every single communication, and now they don’t even answer my calls anymore. I don’t believe this is the proper way to treat a customer. I was ignored, misinformed, and dismissed throughout the entire process. I strongly advise future guests to be cautious when booking this hotel, especially if you expect even basic customer service or clear communication.

Verified reviewNot too far from Prague, beautiful design, comfy bed, parking, online check-in, kettle and coffee mashine in the room, soft carpet. Huge amount of vanity kits from soap, hair comb to slippers..not sure that's a good thing.
Inaccessible without car, very noisy events in the hotel even after 22:00 no one informed us about, smoke entering our room (probably from grill) therefore fire alarm removed from the ceiling, people dragging furniture on the floor in the restaurant after midnight making noise that will wake you up, bloody looking stain on sheets, we booked room with balcony and received room without balcony and arm chair made into bed for bo reason so there was just one chair left to sit on for two people, no ventilation in the bathroom leading to humidity and rotten door, no shelves in the bathroom to put cosmetics on, breakfast starts quite late, big round plastic tables with no tablecloth and chairs at the breakfast for roughly 10 people, the breakfast would be decent if it was actually ready on time/refilled promptly (cutlery and plates including), personel didn't speak Czech or English and was rude. Overall the place looks great and has potential but there is a lot of room for improvement.

Please note, that the hotel has a contactless check-in. When we arrived at 10 pm, we found the hotel dark and locked up. The only information we had before booking was that check-in was until midnight. The air-condition in the room wasn't working and there was no receptionist to ask for a quiet room, away from traffic. The next morning, I approached the reception desk to speak with a young girl in a grey jumpsuit to inquire about the issue. Despite Czech being my native language, she didn't seem to understand me and kept mumbling something in a foreign language as if it was the answer. It was disheartening to find out that the hotel receptionist in the Czech Republic couldn't speak Czech.

Verified reviewThe hotel is quite new, relatively clean. Breakfast prepared by nice staff, always available ahead of time (scheduled at 7:30).
Generally, the room is okay, but the hotel does not have any attractions: restaurant, swimming pool, sauna, gym. You cannot use the restaurant's tables to eat meals ordered in other restaurants or pizzerias. Outdoor grilling is also not possible. Rooms with balconies are noisy due to the nearby, heavily traveled road. The soundproofing between the rooms was poor - every night you could hear a couple having sex several times. Relatively expensive hotel for one night, not suitable for longer or business stays.
