How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewEverything was just great. Location was the right on the river. Stunning view of the castle wall the from the balcony. Clean, comfortable room had everything we needed. Friendly and helpful front desk who accommodated our late arrival. Excellent breakfast had everything you could want. Very good rate included breakfast. Even the parking was not too far considering that no vehicles are allowed into the village.

Verified reviewVery beautiful and amazing location! We had a room with a balcony overlooking the castle, right on the river, really wonderful. Breakfast was served along the river, just perfect. The beds were super comfortable, some of the best I’ve ever had on holiday. The room was nice and clean. Very close to the parking and right in the center, everything is easy to reach. The staff was very kind and helpful. Truly recommended!

Unfriendly & cunty, blond receptionist who shouldn't be working in the hospitality business. Every word out of her mouth screamed 'i hate my job'

Verified reviewGreat place in the center of the old town
There is no parking next to the hotel, if you with luggage you might need a taxi from the parking lot. Thats realy the one down side of the experience we had

Verified reviewStaff are helpful; location is good. Breakfast is excellent! Also we enjoyed the beautiful view from outside of the breakfast room.
Our room is comfortable except that since we were on the third (top floor), I hit my head a few times. I would probably prefer a room on the other floors. Besides, we couldn’t manage to get a taxi on arrival, it was a hassle to walk from the main bus station to the hotel with luggages given the rocky ground condition.

Verified reviewIt’s very close to P1 parking and the hotel is situated in the middle of the historical town.
We missed to mention that we are vegans while booking the accommodation, as a result we didn’t have many options for breakfast.

Verified reviewThe location right on the river and a main gate meant we could come and go very easily. Breakfast was delicious. Room was modern and clean.
Driving? Set your navigation point to Parking 1. You can’t park near the hotel so don’t pin the hotel. Not a problem to move luggage from Parking 1, it’s a five minute walk.

Verified reviewLocation and facilities themselves were comfortable and modern. Very nice bathroom and view is outstanding.
The staff. We arrived and the front door was locked so we rang through the intercom. There was no advance notice this might be required and we could hear the front desk ringing. It took 15 minutes, and when the manager arrived she did not acknowledge that we had been waiting for someone to come. She did later offer us drink tickets but only after we came to the desk and asked about the bar next door. Then the following morning, the power went out, which was not the hotel's fault. The kitchen staff made do with what they could serve, but they were unsmiling and cold. We were in town to attend my father-in-law's funeral and had nice clothes requiring an iron and plans to style hair with hair dryer. The manager told us the power should return by 10am, no guarantee of course, which is standard check-out time. I asked if we could stay later to get properly dressed explaining our reason. The same manager said only until 10:30am, regardless of if the power would be on or by then, as they needed to clean the room for incoming guests. Check in was not until 4. No flexibility, no problem-solving. I found her demeanor to be the opposite of hospitable.
Hello, thank you for your review and your stay but we would like to say that you are not saying truth. The door was closed, its a normal if personal needs to go for a toilet or so on, and it wasnt 15 minutes what you was waiting and about that electricity, it wasnt our fault, it was in the whole main centre, all hotel were without electricity. And our check in its for not sure from 4pm, its from 2pm. So if you wanna say something, you should have to say truth. Have a nice day, team Castle Bridge

Verified reviewThe breakfast was very nice, lots of choice. Location was great, lots of eateries around to choose from. Situation in the Old town.
The one thing we did not like was the smokers outside our room which meant we could not leave our door open or sit outside to enjoy the view without breathing in their smoke. It would have been better if they had, had a designated area to smoke, it was the same at breakfast if you wanted to sit outside to enjoy the veiw you had smokers sitting around you puffing away. Very anti-social.
