    Breakfast was very good.

Need more food variety. After 3-4 days food kind of losing its appeal because it's the same every morning

    Location, food, gardens

Very small pool, one tiny sauna. Old-fashioned interior, dirty soft floors, soft furniture. The complex is large and no one gives you instructions on how to get to the treatment rooms, which takes a lot of time. The treatments are expensive. I arrived five minutes late and they didn't let me in. This particular room was far away and I wasn't warned about it by anyone.

Beautiful interiors, nice and helpful personel, free pool access, nice view for a town.

If you planning to go on foot, way back to hotel could be difficult. It's 20 min walk up hill 23° angle(as sign say), so better use public transport, cause parking in town is difficult to find

A nice room with a great view.

Everything would have been fine, but i got food poisoning, spent the whole night with diarrhea and vomiting. Тhe hotel did not have the most basic medicines.SoI had to go to the urgent clinic. Obviously the price is too steep.

Truly a grand hotel, an island of serenity at walking distance from the old town. The staff were very polite and helpful. Nice pool and sauna.

    Breakfast was good.

Staff cold and unhelpful. They just had no interest in doing any more than the basics that they are paid for. They really need a lesson in service orientation. We had problems with everything. Does nobody smile in this hotel or take responsibility for things when they are not as they should be. I normally stay in the hotel Pupp and I will be going there again next year. The attitude is one of careworn indifference, just like the condition of the hotel itself.

Glorious views of Karlovy Vary from this grande dame of a hotel which exudes its historical glamour - marble staircases, gilt, massive chandeliers- at every turn. Vast comfortable room with an immense bathroom. Superbly clean and well- maintained both in the structure and the gardens. We loved the funicular to town. The breakfasts were wonderful- very extensive and generous. Halfboard evening meal was also good with plenty of choice. The swimming pool is huge ( perhaps 20metres) for a hotel. Beds were very comfortable and there was loads of wardrobe space. Everything in the room worked properly.

Lack of sun beds outside. This would be an additional service!

    We liked it all!

Polite staff and was very clean.

The hotel was very dated. The spa area was small with very limited loungers and chairs.

    I like the location

It was far from a true 5-star hotel experience. At check-in there was only one staff member, so we waited a long time, and the receptionist seemed quite stressed. In a real 5-star property, like the Pupp, you’d expect 3–4 people at reception. Carpets were dirty throughout the hotel, especially in the dining area, and the overall atmosphere lacked the refinement you’d expect from this category. Breakfast was acceptable, but the clientele was off-putting — hoarding food at tables and dressed in tank tops and extremely short denim shorts. Pool area looked more like a hospital; we did not bother going there because of the strong chlorine smell. I loved the view from the hotel and the location. It is on a hill, but you can take a cable car if you don't want to walk. The park outside was beautiful.

It’s a large hotel which caters to varied needs. Pools was good, warm(29 degrees), not too busy, needs renovation. Food was great and there’s another cafe if you missed lunch.

Used to be a grand hotel in the past with old days chique. Not really suitable for children. The main issue is the location: the hotel is far away from the centre on a hill and the roads are steep and poor paved, not suitable for buggies. The hotel is somewhat dark, the corridors and rooms are in a permanent dusk. Which contracts with the jolly look of the town below. No airconditioning. Parking of 20€ is way too expensive for such a remote location. There are lots of parking spots. It’s a sanatorium and there are lot of sick people, walking around in bath robes. It’s not an issue per se, but not for everyone.

Beautiful garden, great views, very clean. Service personnel in the Breakfast/Dinner area were exceptional.

I was late for a few minutes for the special bath and stuff rudely said it was immediately cancelled. I understand that bath has to be of certain temperature but there is a way how to communicate this to a guest. Also, I was never told I had to be there at exact time because otherwise a bath would be cancelled. If it is so strict then Personnel needs to highlight that to clients. We are on vacation and it is a challenge to keep a track of time. It took me by surprise, especially the tone.

The rooms and general amenities were nice as expected. The restaurant is also good. The personnel were attentive and spoke good English. Valet service was fine too.

The SPA is old and requires deep renovation. Almost all procedures were closed on Sunday, which is nonsense. 200+ euros per night is too much for this.
