Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Czech RepublicIt's a shame that sausages, eggs, and pastries were not continuously replenished at breakfast. A friend who joined us for breakfast later didn't even have one from the warm buffet. In the rooms above the terrace, the noise from the deck could be heard even through the closed windows.
Accommodation is on the hill of the city. But once you get to it, it's very nice to spend time on the outdoor terrace. The owner is a nice guy.

great location for visiting Karlove Vary, on the top of the hill of a small village. There's a forest with walking trail behind the building. Okay breakfast.

GermanyThe room was dusty and not very clean. The toilet flush was not working well. In general the hotel is older and needs some renovations. The breakfast was ok.
The view from the restaurant terrace is very nice! The location in general is very good, since you can start hiking directly from the hotel.

GermanyOur main issue was the bed itself, with the older mattress being uneaven and difficult to be comfortable on. Considering our early wake up to ski the next day, this was not ideal. The room we were in was very noisy from the restaurant below playing dance music until after midnight. Again, for the purpose of our trip, this made for a bad sleep and wake up the next day.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and welcoming. They also run the restaurant in the hotel, and the dinner and service was good too. The value based on location was also a positive, as you are less than 10 minutes to the ski hill, and most alternatives are significantly higher in price.
