Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I found it a bit hard to comunicate without calling. I had some doubts that I tried solving by email or message but only when I called I got the answer I was looking for. Not a big flaw, just somewhat inconvenient.
Excellent location right in the heart of Kolin. Easy to find and reach, not far from the train station and every other convenience. The owners were kind and helpful.

A short notice booking as I needed to be in Praha. Used this pension several times before, a lot cheaper than Praha.

Alfred. Sent too many emails
the pension was 10 mins walk from Kolin railway station. The room was modern and clean. Iots of communication with Alfred. I did not meet any staff.

All good.
Large room, just off the town square, so convenient for restaurants etc. The check-in and access code system works well and is intuitive.

Limited head room over bed. Missing blind on one of the skylights.
Large room with sofa. Kettle and fridge provided. Self check-in process worked well once I got my head round it.

Some people in the speciality coffee shop have been standing, they did not want to sit down, even if there are tables and chairs. A little bit stressful.
I liked the speciality coffee shop on the opposite side of the vietnamese Street food caravan. If I would not have had my own hot-pot with noodles, then I would have bought vietnamese fried noodles or rice, too.

Pictures online indicated a restaurant and bar, however these were very old pictures, and there wasn't either.
Friendly helpful English speaking staff. Comfy beds. Clean and tidy. Handy location.

Didn't see many staff but I had a number of early starts.
Hotel was a 12 minute walk from the main railway station, passing through the main shopping area of Kolin. Room was tidy and reasonably large. I didn't have breakfast. The price was lower than in Prague .

Bed not so comfortable, but is is a personal view.
Very well located in the center of the town. Breakfast was specially made for me and different every day. Free parking was included, in a city where parking is difficult.

My stay at this hotel was deeply disappointing. The room was in a terrible state of cleanliness — I found someone else’s hair in both the bed and the shower, and the carpet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in over a year. The shower was especially problematic: the step was broken, tiles were missing, and you could literally see the infrastructure underneath, which emitted a terrible smell. I stayed in room number 1, which is located directly above the main entrance. Unfortunately, that meant all the cigarette smoke from guests standing outside came straight into my room through the window — very unpleasant and unacceptable. Overall, I was fully dissatisfied with my experience and would not stay here again

No bottled water. The only heating was provided by an old air conditioning unit, but it was very noisy when on—had to turn it off to sleep. When I arrived for the first time, the room was not locked, so anyone could have entered from the hallway before my arrival. The checkout email went to “spam” email folder. I don’t understand why ‘Wellness’ is in the name :)
Clean. Remote check-in without staff. Comfy bed, linen, towels. Kettle with basic tea- would be great to have also a pack of instant coffee. Fridge (empty). Hair dryer. Hotel quality soap and shower gel.

room was dirty. the shower cabinet was heavily crusted with limestone, the bathroom itself was dusted. There were thick stripes of dust and spider webs between the lamellars of both air conditioners (room, bathroom).
located in the heart of the city, supermarkets, restaurants etc all within walking distance.
