I had problems getting into the accommodation, as I thought I could just check in at reception. Eventually discovered an email had arrived after I'd moved on, giving me details of the password to get into the key box outside.

The room was rather compact, although it had everything I needed and the bed was comfortable. Five minutes walk from the main square and several eateries.

Very good location. Close to the city. Everything just as expected. Self check-in gives freedom of travelling. At the time it was the cheapest at 45€ I could book in Mikulov. But nice anyway!

There’s not much we can complain about e.g. there’s no heating in the bathrooms, so to make it warmer we had to leave the doors to the rooms open for some time before taking a shower. Also little fixing could ne desired, e.g. in one the rooms the wardrobe was a bit shaking – some additional screws may probably help. One can also noticed that the number of baby cribs available is limited (one?), thus it may happen like to us when we were returning that it was already booked and not available (we got this information in advance though).

We passed many times by Mikulov, but it was the first time we stopped in the city and the Guesthouse Mikuláš Mikulov and both surprised us positively. Initially we planned to stop there only on a way to but based on the good experience we finally booked also for the return trip. In total both ways we had three different rooms. One of the rooms is bigger: decent 23 m in which after placing a baby crib there was still enough space, the other two smaller but sufficient for a one or two nights stay. In each room there was a double room, not that wide, but sufficient for two normal size people and quite comfortable. There was also a wardrobe, a table and chairs, as well as an electric kettle, some mugs, glasses, plates and cutlery. Sufficient equipment to eat some snacks, especially as by the reception there’s a fridge and a microwave oven available to guests. Also, a decent number of tea and coffee bags were provided. In one of the four stars hotels we stopped recently we got only two tea bags (?!), in the Guesthouse Mikuláš we definitely didn’t have such problems. We came to Mikulov when the temperature outside was well below 0C thus we were really happy that thanks to thick walls and efficient heating it was really warm in the rooms. The guesthouse has its own fenced parking. Check-in and check-out were very easy: before arrival we got instructions how to retrieve and return keys, open the gate etc. so there was no need to meet with the staff. It’s a very good option for those who arrive late or leave early. The locations of the guesthouse is very good, the old town is almost right behind the corner. The city surprised us with a lovely old marketplace and an impressive castle on top of the hill. Nearby one can find some coffee bars, restaurants and shops. Certainly next time passing by Mikulov we’ll stop again at the Guesthouse Mikuláš.

The location is excellent! We needed a good value for 1 night and thats what we got. Perfect! The room was ver well heated and warm, exactly what we needed :-) Glasses and cutlery at our disposal also surprised us nicely.

The walls are pretty thin, you can hear anything from the neighbouring rooms.

This apartment was a simple place to stay for the night, no reception was available, everything was "automated" - we got the keys from the locker close to the main door, we could use the non-guarded parking place at the back of the house. There was a public fridge available on the corridor. The room was small, however the bed was comfortable. We had a kettle and utensils to brew a coffee on a table. The bathroom was clean, though it wasn't very modern. The price for the quality was excellent. The check-in and check-out processes were well-thought.
