How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Verified reviewWe had a room with balcony, the room it self is not very big but enough for 2 people. I liked that they had put chocolate in our room and that the restaurant remembered about my husband’s birthday and brought him a cake. We booked massage and that was good. Nice selection of coctails at the bar.
There was some caos during breakfast on our first morning, basic things like cheese was finished, and had to be asked for. The second morning was quite different and the waiter kept checking that nothing was missing. Food at the restaurant could be better but it was ok.

Verified reviewThe hotel is in a great location close to cafes and restaurants. A bus stop is only a short walk away and the hotel is located in a pictures location. The breakfast had a nice selection of options.
During our stay, we found that the air conditioning in our room was not functioning efficiently, resulting in a stuffy and uncomfortable atmosphere. The meal options at the hotel restaurant were quite limited, which left us with few choices for dining. One evening, we decided to order room service and, after waiting for an hour without receiving our food, we contacted the kitchen. We were informed that the kitchen had closed, and the call ended abruptly, which was disappointing. Additionally, we were unable to book any wellness treatments throughout our stay, as all appointments were fully booked. Overall, these issues detracted from our experience.

Verified reviewNew built hotel, well constructed in modern style and most modern facilities. Has a very nice swimming pool and wellness centre section which you can use, subject to many restrictions.
There were problems when we were there, such as wellness centre is open available at certain hours, and the jacuzzi not working at all. Also there were fundamental problems with attitude of some of stuff towards guests, which I can only assume is remnant of Soviet mentality towards giving service. Staff should be better trained, specially ladies working behind the reception.

Verified reviewThe hotel was new and decorated in modern style. The breakfast was all right except with too little variety.
They only offered water bottles when we checked out. It should have been every day put into our rooms like other hotels where they replenish their amenities. There was a fire alarm. Everyone has to run out of the room, panicked. Only to find out 30 minutes later that it was false. The hotel did not even offer only just a water bottles to the guests.

The cleaning one of the days was way below 5 star standard with sand still on the floor and barely folded sheets. Doors were left unlocked for a half day after cleaning service.

Terrible attitude of the girl at the reception at check in: after being surprised that in a wellness hotel they ask you to pay extra to access the swimming pool, and after showing her the booking page of the hotel where they reply to a client that the accès to wellness is included, she almost shouts at me saying the hotel policy has changed recently and I should not read outdated info …. We booked the half board, we got a stater and main course and they asked us to pay extra for dessert… we found out there is a technical problem with the hot water when taking the shower, had to wait until midnight and than insist to get another room in order to shower…

I am not used to write negative reviews but this time I can’t really accept such a poor experience. The hotel management should seriously consider to invest in some trainings to deliver something closer to an European 5* Hotel. We have booked an Half Board night, we were pushed to book a table and respect by the minute the timing, they were “complaining” with us that the restaurant was fully booked and we should arrive absolutely on time, but when we’ve arrived half of the tables were empty. Funny way to welcome a customer. Everything is “Ryanair style”, you get super basic stuff and have to pay extra for everything. Here is the list: - Spa is not included in the price, 290CZK per person for 2 hours, despite it was specifically mentioned as “included” on booking.com ( already moved with an official claim) - Extremely poor dinner, no choice at all ( I have attached the menu, one soup and pork. 5* Hotel??). - No salat buffet, 150czk extra for a miserable plate of veggies. - Poor wine list, only cheap and low quality wines - Breakfast buffet: fresh orange juice is extra for 50 CZK. I could continue, but I just end saying that our “Superior Room” was in a rather noisy position over the main street, in the bathroom there were fixes with the tape ( :D ) I would not recommend this Hotel to anyone who is looking for good food and some decent service.

Many small details - majority of the staff lacking the proper communication training, below average (hostel/motel) breakfasts - not even close to a 5* level, not very cozy restaurant equipped as a meeting room on a conference.
