The other girl was very friendly on check in, but we were not helped with our luggage upon check-in. I think 5-star hotels should pay attention to this. If road was further away from the hotel, silence would not interfere.

Excellent facility, saunas and pool with countercurrent - excellent morning exercises! Very big room with great view from the bathtub! An excellent private balcony hidden from view. Very good cleaning service with very friendly cleaners - 5 star! Anna was very friendly and described all the stuff very clear. Very good breakfast with good service. Nice welcome drinks. Even there is shisha in the lobby - but we didn’t catch a chance to try it. Multilingual communication: English, Germany and russian. We have strong desire to come back.

I didn't like the food for the dinner in the restaurant at all, nothing was tasty. However the hotel is in secluded location, lake front, near the lake it is a road, and road noise wasn't allow to relax completely.

The room is big, with a balcony, lake view. The breakfast was great with different options from menu. The hotel is located far from the center, if you want to avoid the crowds. However you can easily reach the center 15-20min by car, taxi is available. The temperature was low, so I didn't have chance to enjoy the location. In spa there are different masseuses, and only one was good in my opinion. Nice sauna area. A special thanks to Helena, who helped a lot with our issues.

Thermostat regulation +/-5C was ineffective and could not be reset. We had to open the window and balcony door overnight as it was not possible to go below 24C otherwise.(mid-May, at avg 15C outside) Balcony shared with adjacent room ... strangers from the adjacent room passing (unintentionally I would hope) next our open balcony door - that was NOT so great. The glass shower door would not fully close resulting in mini-floods on the bathroom floor. There was no bottle opener, no beer opener (although the minibar had a bottle that would require one - a friendly receptionist came up immediately in response to my phone query to open our wine bottle himself but thought this was the only solution to the problem of openers that sometimes end up becoming guest's souvenires!?), Wifi stopped working at one point but since I had 60G data SIM this was no problem for me. LED lights inside the wardrobes were flaky, flickering at times. Providing disposable cheap bottle openers with effective Axxos advertising would more than offset the cost of occasional opener loss in my opinion. Some of the 5 saunas were not operational but 2 were really good. These are mostly details, the positives far outweigh the negatives

Friendly staff, especially Anna, good breakfast, large room, 2-sink bathroom with pocket-door separated toilet, good shower, all super clean, large bed, comfortable pillows, balcony with 2 chairs facing waterfront, excellent pool, whirlpool and sauna, NOT busy at all, umbrella to borrow for the day, proximity to Karlovy Vary, We would not hesitate to come back!

it was a bit secluded from everything. A fan in the gym would be lovely, it gets very hot and humid in there since it is located next to the pool area.

A cozy 5 star hotel that is good for recharging the batteries ! Strong points Personnel attitude. All of them eager to help and provide 5 stars services! Special mention for Lucie that was very supportive and gave us good hints! Spa area - not very crowded and quite keeping in mind the specific of the hotel-adults only. Food and restaurant atmosphere - extraordinary, deserving the 5 stars 🤩 Weak points - a liitle bit farway of Karlovy Vary and with nothing to do around. At the end weak points could be an advantage to have a quite and relaxing holidays. All the best!

The hotel only had one masseur, which meant we (as a couple) had to go separately to treatment. The massage itself was excellent.

Retro Riverside Wellness Resort is a truly beautiful hotel with friendly staff, spacious and clean room, terrific breakfast and perfect wellness area with many types of sauna, a pool and a whirlpool.
