Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Pakistan1. There is only one mirror, which is in the bathroom above the sink and so high that i could barely see my whole face. 2. Next to that mirror was the worst hairdryer I have ever experienced. I could barely keep it on with one hand and it was not powerful. 3. We returned to our room one night to find that the housekeeping staff had left the hot water running in the bath. 4. Worst experience was the reception staff…not cordial or service oriented and extremely unfriendly. On our last day, we asked for a hotel taxi to the train station but it was far more expensive than uber. The reception lady asked us how much we are willing to pay and she would check if hotel car was available and it may take time. By the time we came back with our bags, she informed us that she has called the hotel taxi and we cannot back out and must pay whatever we have. The “taxi” turned out to be a young girl, very obviously her relative, and definitely Not the hotel car. Though she got us to the station, we found it unethical for staff to dupe us in this manner.
Location was excellent, quiet but still central. Rooms were beautifully decorated and we had a fantastic view of the castle from our window.

PolandIt would be great if sauna were available later in the evening - to relax after the day of sightseeing.
Location was perfect - with a garden nearby for a moment of quiet respite and easy access to the Old Town, the shore of Veltava, and to Hradczany.

Lovely hotel in an historic building in a great but relatively quiet location only 5 minutes from Charles Bridge and Malostranska metro station.. Stunning view of castle from bedroom and bathroom of deluxe room with castle view. Rooms are very comfortably furnished with ornate ceilings, period furniture and original paintings and frescos. Buffet breakfast in dining area with good selection of cereals, fruit, cold cuts and cheeses and a few hot options.

IrelandThe steps up to our bedroom
The hotel was beautifully decorated. The room was comfortable & had great air conditioning. The en-suite was lovely. We were in the old part of the hotel, so there wasn't a lift. We had about 49 steps up to our room. Staff were very helpful & booked us a night at a Vivaldi concert & a taxi to the airport. The breakfast was lovely but I really think there should be covers on all the food as there were some wasps around the food. The hotel is five minutes away from the Charles Bridge, so it is in a very central location. Make sure you visit the park next door with the peacocks.

The rooms are very spacious and have everything you need. The location couldn’t be better. Breakfast is huge and delicious. We’ll definitely stay here again when we return to Prague.

RomaniaRooms need space me adjustments, also , there is no insulation from the sun light coming into the rooms at 5:45 in the morning. Hence, if you are an early bird , is fine, if night owl, then is a disaster…

IsraelThe air conditioning in our room didn't work right, so it was sometimes too hot in there. Also, the service was not always good. We asked the night manager to help us get a taxi once, but he declined and we had to do it ourselves. We had to depart for the airport at 7:20 a.m. on the last morning of our stay, which was just before breakfast service started at 7:30. The staff did eventually bring us a full breakfast, but they were clearly unhappy about it, which made the experience less enjoyable.
The hotel is in a great spot, only 500 meters from the Charles Bridge and near to the Malostranská metro station. There are a lot of nice cafés and pubs around, and the neighborhood around the hotel is quiet. The room we stayed in was big and comfy, with a Renaissance/Medieval style. The furniture wasn't too new, but the place still felt nice and welcoming. The breakfast was a standard continental spread, with a lot of sandwiches and pastries—more than enough to get the day started.
