Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsYou can hear sounds from the square very loud. Especiallu in the late evening or morning (sleeping time) there are moments you wake up from loud noises coming from the square (people or cars).
The view of the square and the old rustic look of the rooms!

HungaryNoise from the street was more present in the room than expected. Booking was made for a room with 2 beds (one double + one sofa) but there was only one bed.
Location is awesome, room was comfortable, bathroom was clean. Booking was easy and information sharing before arrival was clear and precise.

United KingdomNo air con due to being in the heating season however it was ~22C when we stayed so did get a bit warm
Fully online check in, very straight forward to follow email instructions so entry is by 6 digit pin code (no staff are on site). Location couldn't be be better, close to a lot of the main attractions in the old town and many shops and resturants. On quite a lively square but with windows closed was quiet. Room was clean, comfortable and good value for money. Bag storage at neighbouring hotel was excellent for the final day.

AustraliaNo luggage storage, which ended up being a bit of a mission in the end with the recommend luggage storage not open when they said which should have matched the 10 am checkout.
Close to all the action. Clean, neat and surprisingly quiet considering we were right on a noisy street.

NorwayThe booking process was a nightmare! Twice did they come back and told us that the credit card was not valid, even though i bought our air tickets with the same card after initial booking with the hotel! Then we tried again with my wife's card and again it was discarded. Then Hotel Aurus sent me a link where I could pay directly. Than it worked. But the confirmation for payment was bad and took hours between every message from them, making us afraid that someone else would book it in the mean time,.The telephone number did not work either so I was scared I was scammed. Only when we came a few days before coming there they gave us some comforting messages, where we understood we still had the room. But even to the last days before I was looking for other place to stay if we came to locked doors and did not have access code. It is sad that they have such a bad booking/response system, this could have been so easy. Anyway the place had what we think the best location with it being by a place with restaurants etc. Try the Irish bar there and you will both be able to se English football and drink good beer and eat great fish and chips. And the rooms were better than we expected and the reception of a nearby locale let us stay there when waiting for our transportation to airport and offered locked room for luggage for free. Should we decide to go back to Prague I am quite sure we would like to stay in same place.
No breakfast was included

CroatiaIt was a challenge to register online because I don't have the internet. In the end I didn't get an access code online. Fortunately, there is reception that located in 200 meters from the hotel. I would recommend skipping online registration and going directly to the reception. It will save your time, define telly.
The best location in the city center, nearby Karl's bridge. Good furnished rooms. Very detailed from staff instructions on how to pay for parking in the city.

CroatiaComplex check-in process. I had fulfilled online form data and hadn't received message with door code. Instead of this you have to call or visit reception. For what online registration then?! Also about parking, they will warn you that you solve this issue by yourself and it is true. It requires a certain time to find free parking place.
The location, comfortable, well furnished room.

Amazing location, right in the heart of Prague's Old Town district. The communication and automatic check in and check out process was excellent, smooth and easy. The suite itself was lovely, spacious living room, nice decor with character, comfortable bed and quiet bedroom, and a nice shower / bathroom. Bottled water and a coffee machine too.

United KingdomSlow or no reply to messages sent to reception. We had no hot water for our last two days. There was a partition door to another apartment and they were noisy, we could hear every word
This is a beautiful old property. Located between the Charles bridge and old town square, both are a few minutes away. We had a suite, it was gorgeous with an original painted ceiling. Lift access to all floors. This is an internet hotel, so no reception service and you get a code for the door which also operates your room key. Outside there are bars, shops, ATM’s and all you need. I would have given 5 stars, but there was a couple of issues.

United KingdomThe hotel has amazing location: just a couple of minutes walk to all the main Prague attractions. We stayed in the Luxury suite, and it was very clean with huge, but cozy rooms with amazing historical ceilings. Despite being located in the very center, it was quiet.

GermanyWe never received the six digit code to enter the hotel or room, therefore, I spent almost an hour trying to find Central Reception downtown Prague. In the end, I was finally able to reach them by phone and they texted me the code. I would suggest having Central Reception call each guest a day or two before to ensure they received the code and answer any questions that they may have. Again, loved the stay, but it was stressful since this was my first stay at your hotel. Parking is a nightmare so I would recommend going out of your way to assist future guests understanding parking options and assist them in making parking reservations.
The location is the best for this area. Both of my girls, 18 and 16, loved the location. Starbucks and restaurants across the street! My daughters were in heaven and thanked me for selecting this hotel makng their trip to Prague very enjoyable. That says a lot considering that we visited Prague 1 at least seven times in the last four years.

CanadaThey are not flexible at all. My flight was moved, I notified them 1 month before and asked if they could move my checkout to the day before, they declined it even tho there was still time do something or at least try. I would have totally agree to pay for that extra night if the suite does not get booked, however they didn’t even try

ItalyThe toilet, once flushed you had to wait for a while before it would flush again. It is not fun with multiple family members in the room. There was a beautiful coffee machine with about one day of coffee provided for the entire stay. There didn't seem to be a location near the apartment that allowed for the purchase of more pods. I love my morning coffee.
The room was spacious, clean, wonderfully comfortable, and easy to access with the electronic key. I received all the information I needed to make it easy. The location is a perfect halfway point between Old Town Square and the Charles Bridge. Many breakfast locations in the area made it easy to start the day.

United KingdomOver charged me which I was not happy about considering the booking was for a lower amount. Unable to use tv with fire stick which was annoying but we lived without it. Also when I contacted the hotel to ask whether I could check out late no one replied to me which was not the best. A 10am check out is too early consider it was a 3pm check in. I feel a 12pm check out would’ve perfect.
The property is located right near Charles bridge which is brilliant it’s close to most things and you can walk to lost site seeing spots. There is no staff and it is all virtual even the entry into property.

United StatesThe entrance and stairway lighting was very bad and unsafe. The stairway was treacherous and the automatic light does not come on until you are more than halfway down the dark and dangerous circular stairway. This is an accident waiting to happen. It's an easy fix, and should be done immediately before someone falls down those stairs. Also, working with Booking.com and not directly with the hotel was difficult and stressful.
The location was great and the room size was much larger than expected.
