How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Location is nice but quite noisy especially late night. i got confirmation message and access code about property. There is no staff and no information about how to enter the room. Only the place send me an email and ask pictures of our passport. but i see the mail after finding the office of place, its nearby but no information about it. i asked someone to find it. its very hard to compleate this step, if i don't find someone most probably i can not enter the room.

Verified reviewLocation is awesome, room was comfortable, bathroom was clean. Booking was easy and information sharing before arrival was clear and precise.
Noise from the street was more present in the room than expected. Booking was made for a room with 2 beds (one double + one sofa) but there was only one bed.

Verified reviewFully online check in, very straight forward to follow email instructions so entry is by 6 digit pin code (no staff are on site). Location couldn't be be better, close to a lot of the main attractions in the old town and many shops and resturants. On quite a lively square but with windows closed was quiet. Room was clean, comfortable and good value for money. Bag storage at neighbouring hotel was excellent for the final day.
No air con due to being in the heating season however it was ~22C when we stayed so did get a bit warm

Verified reviewClose to all the action. Clean, neat and surprisingly quiet considering we were right on a noisy street.
No luggage storage, which ended up being a bit of a mission in the end with the recommend luggage storage not open when they said which should have matched the 10 am checkout.

Verified reviewThe location was good if you want to be central, near everything. It's not good though if you want to sleep at night because of the noise from the busy streets. Being 3 floors up I thought we would be okay, but the noise travels and is bad enough to prevent you from sleeping.
Little to no communication from the hotel, appalling behaviour and I do not recommend. This is an honest review. When we arrived at the flat, I found that the second bed had not been made up, nor were there spare sheets anywhere in the flat. I contacted the hotel immediately that afternoon. No reply. I tried again 2 more times. The second time I got an auto response saying they don't work past 9pm. In fact, they never did reply. The next day I saw the housekeeper and I asked her directly for clean sheets. So that first night I had to sleep without sheets, without a duvet cover. Also the air con was broken. I chose and paid for this flat based on it having air con in the listing. Again I emailed the hotel about this as soon as I arrived at the same time as bringing up the sheets. No reply. I tried calling them. No answer. That day it was 26C in Prague and the room was incredibly hot, being 3 floors up. We tried to sleep with the windows open, but the noise was far too loud, you can hear partygoers as loud as if they are in the room. Neither of my daughters could sleep, we all slept badly. I got up several times in the night to try opening the windows again to get some fresh air, it was so hot in the room. But even at 4am it was still too loud. We all slept badly because of the heat. The hotel never responded to me about the air con despite me sending many messages about it not working. Frankly these two experiences ruined our trip. We were out most days so all we needed was a place to sleep with clean sheets that wasn't baking hot. We paid a lot of money for this, and didn't get the basics. As I received no reply from the hotel after flagging this up, it has not been resolved. I'm very disappointed, for the same price or less we could have booked a better place to stay.

Verified reviewNo breakfast was included
The booking process was a nightmare! Twice did they come back and told us that the credit card was not valid, even though i bought our air tickets with the same card after initial booking with the hotel! Then we tried again with my wife's card and again it was discarded. Then Hotel Aurus sent me a link where I could pay directly. Than it worked. But the confirmation for payment was bad and took hours between every message from them, making us afraid that someone else would book it in the mean time,.The telephone number did not work either so I was scared I was scammed. Only when we came a few days before coming there they gave us some comforting messages, where we understood we still had the room. But even to the last days before I was looking for other place to stay if we came to locked doors and did not have access code. It is sad that they have such a bad booking/response system, this could have been so easy. Anyway the place had what we think the best location with it being by a place with restaurants etc. Try the Irish bar there and you will both be able to se English football and drink good beer and eat great fish and chips. And the rooms were better than we expected and the reception of a nearby locale let us stay there when waiting for our transportation to airport and offered locked room for luggage for free. Should we decide to go back to Prague I am quite sure we would like to stay in same place.
