How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe location is great, the apartment is basically brand new, most of kitchen utilities looked unused, the kitchen itself was pretty much fully equipped, including full size cooker and oven, a Tchibo capsule coffee maker together with capsules, the bed was comfy and there was also an electric fan for hotter days. Our apartment was on first floor but there is an elevator and the parking lot is right outside the door, so bringing luggage in wasn't a problem. On the ground floor there is a VERY good Thai restaurant, which I highly recommend, one bakery is opposite the front door and another one 250m away. Right over the corner there is a wonderful walking path among the local vines

Verified reviewWe had a lovely stay at Living TIMELESS – Adler Apartments! The apartment felt warm and inviting, beautifully decorated, well stocked and perfectly clean — it truly felt like a home away from home. We loved starting our mornings with the views over the vineyards and appreciated how close everything was — from the hiking trails to the waterfalls and the cozy spots in the village. If wine is your thing, Sasbachwalden offers plenty of it, and the best part is that you can walk everywhere from the apartment — no need to drive if you don’t want to. Our host was kind and thoughtful, taking the time to make us feel welcome. And with great Wi-Fi, our son was especially happy since coverage in the area isn’t great.
Just a small note: we like sleeping with the windows open, so we did notice the church bells in the morning. If the windows are closed, though, it’s not an issue at all. The parking area is a bit tight in some places.

It was totally impersonal. We never met the proprietors, who communicated by text . There was no reception.

Our approach is intentionally designed to offer flexibility: guests can check in independently at their own pace, without pressure or fixed arrival times. This allows for a more relaxed journey, especially if there are delays or unexpected stops along the way. Of course, we are always available via phone or message should anything be needed. Additionally, there is staff on-site every day who can be approached at any time. Many of our guests appreciate this freedom – especially when it comes to breakfast. We collaborate with the on-site restaurant (which also serves dinner) to offer breakfast. After booking, we send out the breakfast menu along with other helpful information. Guests can pre-order breakfast or decide spontaneously from day to day. Since all apartments come with fully equipped kitchens and complimentary coffee, many guests also enjoy grabbing something fresh from the bakery right across the street and having breakfast in the apartment or on the balcony. If you prefer a more traditional experience with reception and included meals, a B&B or classic hotel might be a better fit for your next stay – although the rooms there are often much smaller 😉 We wish you all the best!

Only minus point: because we were on the ground floor, there was a lot of vis a vis in the street and parking and no curtains (so we had to keep the blinds closed)

The combination of hotel convenience and the homey feel of an apartment made it perfect for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The rooms were spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of small, thoughtful details that made a big difference – like the generous, complimentary refill of coffee capsules each day. It felt like the staff genuinely wanted to enhance the guest experience. Adding to the charm, there was a fantastic Thai restaurant located right on the ground floor. The food was delicious, and it was so convenient to grab a great meal without even leaving the building. One of the highlights for our family was the kids' play area – it was spacious and filled with all kinds of interesting toys, keeping the little one entertained for hours. The owner and the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making us feel welcomed and cared for throughout my visit. The location was also ideal, with easy access to local attractions. I’d highly recommend this apartment hotel to anyone looking for a blend of comfort, convenience, and a few unexpected perks!

Verified reviewUnfortunately it was not clean enough, it’s a new place but not being taken care good enough. public places are not clean as at needs to be. . You have a smell when you enter the room. I don’t know if it’s because of the garbage outside next to the parking or else. and our room was facing with balcony side to the parking and there were engine noises all night so it wasn’t as quiet as we hoped. The bed was comfortable and the area is lovely!
