A vending machine or a way to buy some snacks directly from the reception, or a common fridge would be nice. We've arrived late, and the restaurant was closed. Unfortunately, there are no shops or other restaurants within walking distance, and we were too tired to drive somewhere else. We would be happy with some snacks and tea in the evening.

The best hotel ever. Stayed two times in a row. The most comfortable bed and linen in my life, literally (where did you get them? It's amazing!). Exceptional breakfast. Everything is super clean, stylish, and handy. I would love to spend a week here. That was a perfect stay.

The restaurant in the hotel isn’t open every evening. This isn’t a big problem because there are enough restaurants in the neighborhood. After dinner elsewhere we had a lovely drink on the terrace outside. But if the host can open the restaurant every evening and serve food of the same quality and attention as breakfast we would give Hotel Alte Schule an 11!

Beautiful, with a lot of attention, restored building. Pleasant terrace outside where you can have a drink. But the best things of this hotel are the hosts, the well-designed, spotless rooms AND the best breakfast we ever had in a German hotel. We found this hotel by surprise on our way to Italy but we will most definitely return

There is nothing unlikeable. As the matress topic is an individual thing, I would have preferred a more solid one. Only in case one is heavily equipped with luggage an elevator would be helpful.

The management and staff were very welcoming, exceptionally professional and always helpful. Check in per key box and the personal welcome in person the first morning made arriving flawless. The building has it's own style and very classy with a modern touch. Everything within the property seems to be of some sort of handcrafted or designed and arranged in a way that it makes an unique experience to stay and indulge. The breakfast is as individual as we all are. Food presentation on the highest level and superb arrangements are being presented that taste just out of this world incl certain bred types and house made mini dishes. Coffee with oat milk was also an option. Service at brekky and dinner was A+ discreet and with a non-upselling touch. Also parking was easy and right next to the property just on the quiet side street. A guest produced issue with the inroom safe was resolved without hesitation by the property, very helpful. We plan to come back for sure!

The property was characterful, beautifully renovated, stylish and well-appointed. The owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating. We very much enjoyed the tapas restaurant in the front garden of the property. The food was very tasty.

Just perfect. Super quality both the renovation of the hotel as the service. Just loved the way current owner turned this building into this jem. A great place to stay away from busy cities and enjoy the country live. A place to get some earned rest.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Really good Spanish tapas restaurant. The appartment is very well equipped, looks stunning and is comfortable. Calm area, near meadows great for a soothing walk.

The newly opened restored old school is a real masterpiece of construction, design, quality. A real pearl. Of course, complete with fantastic service and wonderful, refined cuisine.

We searched Booking.com for hotels with air conditioning and this one came up as fitting that criteria. However, upon arrival, no rooms had air conditioning. We mentioned this to the staff and they went out and got us a circulating fan that was appreciated.

The staff were very welcoming and attended to every need. The breakfast was fantastic (especially the fresh breads), and the rooms were clean, comfortable, spacious, and quiet.
