Good location - close to the city and with a lake right at front where it is possible to swim. Calm and beautiful area. The room was big and super clean. Breakfast was wonderful. When we arrived, the communication was a bit difficult (we don't speak German and they don't speak any English), but we managed and they were very friendly. The owner does speak English, with whom we have a nice and friendly conversation (we met him in our 2nd day). Super recommend!

It was such a lovely stay. Gästehaus Forggensee was quiet and lovely. Best part of our stay, however, was the wonderful host Mikhal (not 100% sure I spelled that correctly) who was friendly and helpful and generous. Really made our stay extra special. Thank you!!

We have a warm welcome by the Host! The room was clean and well functional! The location of the property is good. It’s close to the Neuschwanstein castel and close to the town centre.

Nothing although our room was a little cool so we appreciated a small oil filled heater and extra bedding provided by our host, ensuring our complete comfort.

We had a lovely big room with high ceilings at the back of the property. The host Michel was incredibly helpful and friendly, ensuring we felt special and well taken care of. We enjoyed the walk into town via a paved walkway to a fabulous gluten free restaurant recommended by our host. The next morning our needs (with gluten free diets) were well cared for at breakfast which was much appreciated! Free parking on site was also much appreciated. Fabulous stay close to beautiful Lake Forggensee and the castles. Would highly recommend.

Our room was not in the main house and the heating was off, we didn't know this until we got in after dinner so it was a cold night. The shower ran very hot then cold it was difficult to keep it a constant temperature.

The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Lovely selection at breakfast and all very tasty. Coffee, tea and water available at all times in the reception area. Rooms were a good size with beautiful views. Comfortable pillows! Nice walk into town. Would happily stay again.

They were very welcoming. I am pregnant so they upgraded our room to a better one (it was more convinient with my big belly). We had a very good view to the lake and Neuschwanstein castle. There is a free coffee and tea station at the reception, availabe 24/7. Good location, the center is close, and supermarkets also…

The pillows did not work well for us. An optional pillow choice would have been appreaciated.

There is a good quality coffee machine avaialble to use at all times, The owner was very helpfulll, even making a special Latte for us on arrival. A good choice of breakfast options, The rooms were very clean. Its location is excellent for visiting the Castle.

The room was so spacious and perfect for a family of 3 all needing separate beds. The breakfast in the morning was exceptional! Parking was closeby. The best part really was the owner, Michel. He was incredibly kind and friendly with giving us so many recommendations on everything from activities to beer! He also speaks a handful of languages. The property is right on the lake with lovely views and activites very near.

Breakfast was good. It's on the outskirts of town but that was fine for us. Bathrooms seemed newly renovated which was nice. Pleasant staff. Parking out the back is a bit tight but was fine. I'd stay again.

Super friendly and cosy. Room was clean and looked recently refurbished. Michelle the host was exceptionally friendly with great recommendations for restaurants, local area etc and extremely accommodating to the children fun and engaging also making the the best hot chocolate they ever tasted! We really enjoyed our stay. Highly highly recommended. Being situated on the lake is amazing the walk to the town is only 20mins and it is a lovely walk up the King Ludwig Promenade pedestrian/ cycle way. With stunning views.
